解説

I know I have not made a map in a long time but does not mean I quit.

Now this will not be flawless because a valve texture has no bump map, which is the roads but the side walk and intersections/turns have bump maps.

Not bad looking over all, though it needs some touches.

This map was inspired by GM City made by SpyShadow. No my map is not nearly as good looking but its suposed to be a build map not an RP map like GM City is trying to become, it was done a little faster, but my map is not super ugly just needs work.

Injoy! And don't forget to view the change log! (you will see a link labled ( view ) under the addon picture under were it tells you the type of addon and all that stuff.)

We shall see what Source 2 brings to the table. Valve is getting their feet wet again, so no promises, but the future isn't entirely grim for Source Engine.

Yeah, I get what you mean. Our ability to create is sadly limited by the software.

If I remember correctly, he put a lot of detail into each building. If it was anything like what I ran into, it might have just been he started running into hammer editor reaching its limits. There is only a certain number of detail objects you can place such as decals. Hammer was only meant to make small 1st person shooter maps, Big City only pulls it off because it cuts almost all the detail work.

Personally I quit working in hammer editor so I can work with editors that offer much more freedom and optimization for detailed worlds.

Always heartbreaking to see such ambitious projects end so soon. GM City isn't even on the workshop, anymore.
