Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI

Description
Short description
The Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI was a german R-Type plane (not those)[en.wikipedia.org] of World War I. Build in 1917, it saw action on the eastern and later on the western front as strategic bomber.

Player seats
The plane can carry a crew of up to 8 people with the following positions:
  • Left pilot seat:
    • Pitch: Arrow up/down
    • Yaw: Numpad 1/2
    • Roll: Arrow left/right
    • Start/stop engine: X
    • Engine power up: Right shift
    • Engine power down: Right ctrl
    • Brakes: Space
  • Right pilot seat:
    • Pitch: W/S
    • Yaw: Numpad Q/E
    • Roll: A/D
    • Start/stop engine: X
    • Engine power up: R
    • Engine power down: T
    • Brakes: Space
  • Bomb control (Behind left pilot seat):
    • x: Open/Close bomb bay
    • Space: Drop payload
  • Nose- & rear-gunners:
    • Mouse: Aim
    • Left click: Fire
  • Nacelle seats:
    • Mouse: Look around and enjoy one of the more terrifying seating arrangements.

Tips
  • To take of, start & power up the engines, accelerate to +/- 180km/h and pull up.
  • While it can easily go beyond, the plane handles best at 180km/h. Going faster will cause it to nose up.
  • This is a no-brainer, but you have to open the bomb bays before you can drop the bombs.

Special thanks
  • Zippity, for sharing your Airco DH.2. Looking at the inner workings of your project was a big help to get mine (literally) of the ground!
  • Ivan new workshop item!
Thanks Llama. Still liking the pun.

Huh, I'm not too sure.

I could just be absolutely retarded.

I'd have to see the problem in action then, I'm running out of ideas, sorry. :steamsad:
I've tested the plane several times and it starts up perfectly fine.

Yup, it's set to 'activate', not sure why it's not working.
Ivan  [author] 30 Jul, 2019 @ 1:29pm
Odd. So the engine's not revving up at all? Did you bind the X-key to an action?
Kevin McScrooge 29 Jul, 2019 @ 4:00pm
Huh, that's precisely what I've done, and it still doesn't seem to want to work.

Also, I'm using keyboard.
Ivan  [author] 29 Jul, 2019 @ 11:30am
Are you using a keyboard or a controller?
When in either pilot seat, you have to press X to start up the engines; you'll hear them spring to life.
Afterwards, you'll have to hold down either Right Shift (Left pilot seat) or R to throttle up.
When in doubt, press F1 to reveal the plane controls.

It doesn't seem to want to start up, but, I will say, there is a high probablility that I am absolutely retarded.

@Kevin McScrooge: It should still be working for the current version of Homebrew. Is there a problem with the project?
Kevin McScrooge 27 Jul, 2019 @ 5:50pm
It appears this no longer works?
