Description

BECTI is a Conquer The Island game mode based on the old school OFP MFCTI from Arma 2 where two teams composed of Players or AI and you fight AI for the control of an island in a power struggle with towns and bases.

The commander is the leader of your side, voted in at the start of each round. Only he may build the base and set the income distribution. The commander is the only one which is able to perform upgrades and assign orders to AI.

Towns need to be captured and held by your side. To capture a town, you simply have to stand next to Central Depot while no enemy is around. But watch out! The town occupation may try to defend it! Survive by holding camps within the town to spawn from until capture. The generated income and the defending units may vary depending on a town's size.

Funds are mainly earned by capturing town and salvaging wrecks but killing enemies will also reward you with a bounty bonus. These funds may be used to purchase units and gear.

Information regarding the mission can be found in the action menu under "Menu: Options>Online Help"

This BECTI map is compatible with the CUP mods, you will be able to use the weapons and vehicles in CUP and more.

The orignal BECTI is made by benny then Sari Updated and added things to BECTI to make it better and now I have ported Sari edition to Chernarus but this version is compatible with CUP.

How do I play?

To find the mission host a LAN match and youll see it under Lingor, you can also play single player just check "scenarios" for the file, if not there then move the file to your single player mission folder. Turn up difficulty for the opposing team to be able to capture places also a remider to check the parameters.

Optional Mods

Project BECTI also added scripts to the mission so that other mods that are not REQUIRED are still supported by the factory,equipment menu etc.

Hey man, BLUFOR and OPFOR spawn next to each other no matter how i set up the mission parameters.
Ayn idea how to fix this?

Love your CTI missions, i still play them all on my own :D

Ah good im glad you figured it out and Tell me about it haha and im not sure like u said there are alot of files to try to find that.

Hi Lucas, thanks for the inforamtion. Yes, I use TrackIR and Voice Attack as I also play a lot of DCS World.

It dawned on me that the apache is using the K model hellfires. So I just needed to lase my targets.

However, I then noticed the ammo trucks only rearm 2 hellfires then I have to build another truck. Do you know which file contains information on the ammo trucks? I can try to edit these myself, however there is dozens of files to go through.

Did you read the credits ? I just ported the map over and made some tweeks, Im quite busy as of now, if you can fix the issue ill happly add you to the credits.

Couple videos to illustrate what I'm talking about. Couldn't find a setting for making the planes more realistic, just the helicopters. Haven't set the helicopter to more advanced due to controller issues. For some reason on my X52 I end up with it forcing slider combination with the button press when setting controls which need to be fixed by the games devs.

By the way I love how this server progresses. The money earnings and upgrading over time makes it feel customizeable. Great work on the whole idea around this style of play.

I wasn't able to attach rifle modules to the scope on purchase though, I have to buy into inventory and then exit the equipment menu and then attach things then go back into equipment and purchase other things. It would be nice to be able to purchase and have them attached on purchase though.

I will restart the server and see if I can make it work. Thanks for replying, I wasn't sure if this a persistant server made 4 or 5 years ago or recently. Good to know if I have issues I can get help.

So far most modules I download seem to use advanced flight models automatically, so I didn't know it was changeable and your server defaults to something super basic. I will try to find it and try it out. What about the hellfire missiles on the Longbow? In KP Liberation they track pretty well. I even tried locking and unlocking and relocking, making sure the missile was fired when I was pointed at the targetting box and made sure none of the lines were dashed indicating the target was behind cover and yet the missile came off the rails and just flew straight.

About a month old, and oh really not experienced this anyone else have that issue?, @Kazius Have you tried the advanced flight modle ? maybe that might change things for u.
