Airbus A380-800 Atmo

Description
It took some time to refurbish our space-only A380-800.........but here it is!
The planet-ready Airbus A380-800 is landing in your Space Engineers world!

It includes a detailed exterior model, fully functional landing gear, realistic aircraft lights and a double-deck passenger cabin with economy-, business- and first-class.

We decided not to use the aerodynamics mod. The plane has a lot of thrusters pointing downwards to create its "lift". Fort takeoff make sure that the Ground and Landing Thrusters are On. When you accelerate and pull the nose up it will lift off. Remember that this is no fighterjet so fly it smooth and gently ;)

For landing:
Switch off the Speedbrakes. These are thrusters pointing forwards.
When you are over the runway, simply switch off the Landing Thrusters and the plane will gently sit down on the runway. The Radio Altimeter will create a low tone alarm, when you are close to the ground. A high tone alarm will sound, just before touchdown. When you landed, switch on the Speedbrakes to slow down.
Enjoy and have fun!

You need a runway?
Just take the one from STS 2.2

Thanks ;) Well maybe one day... :D
But actually we stick to the vanilla version of the game

Great work for how old it is, you should try to make one with the plane parts + propeller mod

Thank you Sander!
It is indeed done block-by-block. We usually start by looking up the dimensions and "convert" them to the space engineers 0.5m wide grid (basically by drawing a sketch). And then figuring out which ramp-shape looks best ;)
It seems there is some potential using the new blocks (hinges, interior etc) in this project, as it is rather old :D

Holy, we really have to appreciate your modeling skills :O
Do you make this block by block and figuring out the shape or do you use a 3d editor like blender and then put the 3d file into space engineers to get a rough shape?

*** V2.0 ***
Added windows and redesigned the whole interior - Eco, Business and First Class :D
Have fun!

@gauthy I think it is rather easy to remove the interior - it is basically just the seats. Feel free to modify it ;)

Currently I want to try out some of the new blocks and improve the overall look myself

will you make an unfurnished version so we can make custom interiors?
