Description
A rotating jump point.

NOTE: It's just a decorative build with a beacon, an antenna and a laser antenna. You can use the jump point to decorate your RPG server or you can use ist to communicate with other grids. (mods may be helpful here)

I use the jump point with my LASER ANTENNA POWER EFFICIENCY MOD, so I can communicate over long distances.

@Forgi
The pb and the timer are leftovers from an experiment.I wanted the jump point to broadcast it's gps coordinates to the players GPS tab. (just like the "unknown signals"), but I never got it to work.

I removed the pb and the timer now. The rotation should work again. Probably the behavior of the rotors changed in an update over the last months/years.

The rotation works like this:

the core of the jump point (the batterie and beacon) are a fixed station. The rest of the jump point is converted to ship, the rotors can slowly rotate it around the core. That's all.

The programmable block isn't working, I assume it had something to do with making the station spin, since that's also not working.

depends on how you created your world. I designed those jump points for my own server in first place.

On my server you can access any jump point from any space station or from any other jump point. But this only works because all of my stations are connected via laser antennas. So if you spawn on a random station as a new player, you can directly access all jump points from this station.

Maybe I can make a diagram of my antenna/jump point setup, later. But now I will go to bed. I just came from night shift ;-)

So that means you need to know the location of at least one jump point before you are able to access the network and jump across the map.

However, i have a problem.

I cannot access any grid that uses only laser antenna. And you're saying that you need to access the other jump points via laser antenna in order to get coordinates?

Or did i just not understand that correctly?

My Jump point was supposed to be more of a decorative/immersive build but there are some situations, where this jump point can be helpful.

Example:
- I got a ground station on moon
- I got another space station, let's say 4000km away in space.
- the two stations are connected via laser antenna (as all of my stations are)
- I want to jump from space station to moon base with my ship
- but I can't jump to the moon base, because you can not jump into atmospheres
- so I placed a jump point in orbit above moon base
- from the space station I can now access the moon base (via laser antenna) and all other grids with antennas in range of the moon base, just like the jump point.
- so now I can copy the jump point's coordinates (from the jump points laser antenna) and use them to jump to the moon base's jump point.

So if a player joins my server, he/she can get the coordinates of every jump point in my "laser-antenna-network" by accessing them from a base/space station/etc.

So how do i use this?

If I had any scripting skills, I could probably do that xD

Then it could be used for your jump points.. but people could also use it in other ways.
