Description
The MCRN Soteria is a speculative non-canon design for an MCRN destroyer. Armed with 28 PDCs and 4 Missile Turrets and protected by a layer of heavy armor, it safeguards the fleet from long range torpedoes and fast attack ships. The ship has four torpedo tubes for guided missiles and six forward facing rocket launchers. It is named for Soteria, the Greek goddess of safety and salvation, deliverance, and preservation from harm.

This is a fully vanilla design. I've intentionally left several programmable blocks, timer blocks and LCD panels open so that they can be customized by you to your preference. I also turned off many of the LCD's because they were hitting my performace hard, which worries me about what they might do to more average computers.

This has to be one of the largest ships I've built (and finished). It weighs over 15k tons, or 15,000,000 kg, and contains about 8400 blocks. While it is made as a destroyer, it probably fits in where many capital ships do in SE. I'm not sure if I'll be making any ships bigger than this, as they will likely be impractical for the game, and also its exhausting.

This ship is part of a group and is meant to also be a companion to Veshka's Tachi. Please go check out their blueprint of the Tachi if you haven't, they've done a great job with it. A few design elements, including the MCRN logo and pilot's seat display are from their design as well.

Thank you for browsing this item. I appreciate feedback. I've only been doing this for a short time and I'm still getting used to putting stuff on the workshop. Please let me know if there are any issues with the item.

Update: New guided missiles with cameras for direct control. As there has been some confusion with the guided missiles, I'd like to clear some of that. If you leave the welders and projector on when you fire missiles, they will keep reprinting and firing the same missile. I recommend you turn them off if you want to be firing volleys.

I appreciate feedback on my ships so that I can continue improving them. I'm making notes on this ship right now for the next update, which I'm looking to add many more PDCs, two torpedo tubes, floor plan and diagnostic scripts, and blast door blocks.

Usually when I do refits, it means building something new entirely from scratch. I have some ideas that I'll probably pursue if I go for it, but if you want to share some screenshots, go for it.

@Senanthes I thought the same a while back. Worked on such a thing, but it didn't quite work out and the project was dropped. Maybe some day though.

Despite being a little older, she's a really nice build. A refit version turned into a good basis for a cruiser, as well.

If you're subscribed and in creative mode, the blueprint will show up with the other blueprints in your blueprints list when you press f10. The steam workshop blueprints will be at the bottom of the list. Select it, and you will be able to past it in. If you are building it in survival, you need to select the blueprint from the list in your projector, and the workshop blueprints will also appear at the bottom there. You will also need a hard point to start building it from, which you can easily make out of light armor or something similar and remove later.

No, you do not need mods to run this, as it is a vanilla design.
