Description
Hey folks!

Rome II came after Rome I, but where are the Arcani left?? I couldn't find them in my playthroughs, could you?
Well... now they come back again. Thanks to Peppermint216 who has published an arcani version in the style of Rome I. His mod is from 2014, so I brought it to the current game version. Of course all included model stuff belongs to Peppermint216!.

Mod Conent

So let's go deeper in the content of this mod. First, this mod only adds things, nothing is changed. Two units are added: the Rome I Arcani by Peppermint and an early version of them called Socii Speculatores. Here's what you get:
  • Socii Speculatores: Secret auxiliary troups with high melee damage. They are faster then similar infantry and are masters of hiding and sneaking. They have half the size of a normal infantry troup but used well you can elleminate skirmishers, archers or artillery of your enemy and then run away and hide them again.
  • Arcani: Upgrade of Socii Speculatores with heavy armour, better combat and even better hiding skills. Your enemy won't see you unless you jump in his face. Arcani are trained to slaughter weaker units or kill even powerfull enemies from the shadows.
I've tried my best to find a good balance for their skills and costs. Used well these troups are a very powerfull and fantastic option for your strategy. But if you leave them alone with hundreds of elite men or if you let them be hunted down by heavy cavalry, you are the one who becomes slaughtered.

Recruitment
You can recruit the units in auxiliarry barracks or in temple of Jupiter level 4. However, you will see this by right clicking on your builings and searching the building trees. You need a later technology of the tactics tech part to upgrade Speculatores into Arcani. It's worth the investment.

Compatibility
It's compatible with almost everything, maybe except some overhaul mods. You can use it in Grand Campaign, Imperator Augutus or Caesar in Gaul. This mod is already part of my NordoUnits Compilation - Pack 5. 3D unit cards supported by NordoPic. German translation available via NordoGerman. Make sure to check the links below and rate this mod if you like it. I hope you enjoy it!

Finally, one last time here's tribute to Peppermint216.
Cheers!

Ok thanx I foud a french UPC but your mod isn't taken care.
Haven't an idea to help me ?

All mods have only English text strings that won't appear if you play in another language. Therefor you need a localisation mod (Google → UPC project) that has the translated strings included. I have a German translation 'cause I play in German and I don't know about the french translation.
