Skyscraper Core Pack

Description
A set of assets for large towers. Includes Elevator Core with utilities, more to come.

This is a ground-floor elevator shaft that also carries all utilities.
It creates a small amount of noise.
All costs reflect what units would cost if built on the 20th floor, but costs are constant for all floors.
Breakage rate is the same as normal elevators, but is constant despite traffic.


Known Bugs:
Due to being placed as a deco, the game does not restrict construction the way it should.

Future plans:
A multistory elevator, if it can be done.
Express elevators, that skip a set number of floors.


Most recent update:
Core elevator now has full lobby support.
Fixed the multiple build menu entries bug.

i'm not playing the game anymore, so if i update it, i will probably just finish my total conversion mod that includes new building shapes and missions (e.g. an abandoned bunker mission).

the problem being that kind of mod cannot be deployed by steam, it would require manual install by users and probably be distributed on nexus.

i've done half the work, but lost interest in this game.
the language it uses is unique, strange, and has no sense of separation of concerns whatsoever.

The floor tile needs to be adjusted. People are not walking on it, instead there are some gaps. And if there can be lift lighting on/off would be better, like the original version upon arrival.

Hi, for me this mod doesn't have operating cost, and I can't figure out why, everything seems okay in the file, I know it's been a long time, but do you have any idea why that can be the case?

hmm, can't remember, i think i enabled carts but this is primarily meant for civilians.

did this work with carts as hotel or only as normal elevator with utilities

@chuckreff : yes, lobbies are wonky, there's a workaround but the way i fixed it was by editing the game code... which can't be done through steam workshop. it's been years since i played last, since i've played this game every way possible. but if the devs want to hire me to add features to the scheme source code i'm game. btw i like your avatar.

Love it! Looks a bit out of place in the lobby because it wants to put a door on the 2nd floor. Otherwise, it's a great three-in-one that takes up the same amount of space. Would be a good incentive to make it cost less or equal to it's counterparts.

I have a recommendation, i really love this mod and i feel like you should add/replace a tile worth of the image to add a "wall" as seen on almost every item in the base game, it just bothers me a little to see it flat and dimensionless (what i mean is add a decoration tile that has the left wall with the door)
