Omschrijving
One of the noteworthy phenomena of XCOM 2 has to do with the abilities Capacitor Discharge and Bombard.

Unlike Combat Protocol, Capacitor Discharge pierces no armor, and although Bombard is an ability Firaxis intended to promote as a free grenade for SPARKs, it neither shreds nor pierces armor like the EMP Grenade.

This mod makes it so that both Capacitor Discharge and Bombard pierce through all armor, and that Bombard is treated as electrical damage.

Furthermore, the Skirmisher's ability, Whiplash, and the Sectopod's ability, Lightning Field, now ignore armor owing to their electrical damage type. Lightning Field has also been buffed to deal damage to friendly source units, meaning that if you hack a Sectopod, it can deal damage to its original allies.

This mod works both mid-campaign and mid-tactical.

@philmakerguy Oh no, it just uses the base configuration settings for Whiplash damage. It does override the ability template for Whiplash internally, but this shouldn't be causing huge damage output numbers/crashes on its own.

Does this mod change whiplash damage at all as I am getting very high numbers that seem to be causing crashes?

Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

(I did get the Sectopod issue from time to time as well, but am still not sure if it's this mod or something else)

Turns out this mod caused the Sectopod to try and attack itself with electrical field. I think

MrShadowCX has stated in a comment on his mod that the two mods will work together so I will assume that the changes in this mod just get overwritten and hence will not even appear in game.

I just wanted to get your opinion and insight in case I had missed something.

@Lebowskichild Possibly. I'm not sure whether it would really matter what you did in this mod seeing how Gremlin Revamp just creates a new class to base Gremlin abilities/damage modifiers in.

@Udaya, sorry to bother you again but could you tell me, if I simply comment out the "+" & "-" Gremlin tweak lines that change the Capacitor Discharge damage to pierce, would that make this mod and Gremlin Revamp,
