Description
CENTRAL AFRICA (BOKASSA I)
Unique Trait: Emperor By The Will Of The People
Spending Gold on Buildings in the Capital begins a WLTKD. Whilst the Capital is celebrating a WLTKD, -15% Gold Purchase Costs in all cities.

Unique Unit: Mbaika Imperial Guard
The Mbaika Imperial Guard is the unique Marine replacement for Central Africa. Though it does not possess the standard bonuses of a Marine and though it costs additional maintenance, this unit unlocks an Era earlier, at Plastics. Its chief purpose is to be trained in your Capital and then sent to be garrisoned in your other cities. When trained in the Capital, this unit boosts any on-going WLTKDs by 50% longer (up to 25 turns). Whilst garrisoned in other cities, meanwhile, this unit induces a WLTKD for so long as one is active in the Capital.

Unique Building: Third Company
The unique Third Company is the Central African replacement for the Police Station. In addition to its regular effects, the Third Company is maintenance free, and it counteracts the Unhappiness penalties to Production and Gold whilst the city is undergoing a WLTKD. It also requires the Barracks instead of the Constabulary. Construct the Third Company in all your cities to ensure a compliant population.

As of this date, just completed game with Central Africa as AI opponent. No apparent problems with play and no indication of any intrusive culture bug.

After upgrade, if enabled, this Civ does note appear among selection table during set up. Perhaps this unresolved bug is why. I have experienced this type of bizarre behavior in other Civ's (not JFD) once with engineering points and once with science. When reported, both were apparently fixed without difficulty. Hopefully this will be the case once JFD can review.

Don't download. Has ridiculous culture bug making the civ even if it is AI controlled very op. I really like the other JFD civs tho and most of them work but this one and the great mongolia civ don't function properly.

this civ is still completely broken

Sadly, after all this time and a brand new update, that pesky bug with culture is still there. One turn, I was getting around I had around 100 culture. The next, I had 107375629 culture! I don't even understand what happened, I just gained so much all at once! I was still gaining only around 150 culture-per-turn, I have no idea what could have caused this.

I do hope this gets figured out, as this civ looks so fun otherwise.

There is a bug when i played. The culture is locked at 25!
CarlmanZ 5 Dec, 2019 @ 10:21pm
I recently played a game with this, hoping the culture bug has been fixed. It has not been, seeing as Bokassa still has many policy trees filled out before all players even have one. Looking through the files I am unsure as to what is causing this. I am hoping this gets fixed at some point, because I believe this mod has been broken longer than not, which is a sure shame.

I want to like this mod, I really do. I like unique Civs, but the culture glitch is just too overbearing and breaks the whole game experience. When you play it makes you ridiculously overpowered. I hope in the future this is patched, so I can resubscribe.

this mod is broken, i was on turn 175 with 11 social policies and bokassa already had 64 policies!!
