Description
The Industrial Boring Laser takes tunnel boring to a whole new level. Capable of drilling a large diameter whole through solid rock at a rate of over 2m/s (the tunnel in the screenshot is 100m long and took about 45 seconds to make), this industrial machine can clear an entire ore deposit in under a minute or quickly create a large subterranean cave to construct a protected colony.

Industrial Boring Laser - A large tunneling machine that can mine through an entire deposit in under a minute

Big Bertha - A huge version of the Industrial Boring Laser named after Seattle's own drill

Features:

• Cylindrical form is perfect for easily navigating subterranean tunnels and it is short enough to be able to turn around in them too!
• 16 laser drills *** This exceeds the block limit and probably won't be allowed in your multiplayer game ***
• A large enclosed cabin
• Four gatling guns for taking out drones, troops, trees, or just for funsies
• A radar module for searching out ore deposits
• Two mobile Constructors, an armor locker, an oxygen dispenser, two refrigerators, and seven cargo boxes
• Two passenger seats
• Plenty of lighting

Requirements:

Level: 20
• Iron: 1260
• Copper: 864
• Silicon: 667
• Cobalt: 64
• Sathium: 294
• Neodymium: 160
• Zascosium: 576
• Erestrum: 576

Notes:

• If you need to mine in a dense forest, you can use the gatling guns to clear the trees (unless they let you ram them down again - quick rant, but when my size class 46 capital ship went from full speed to stopped by hitting a tiny tree, I died inside a little)

Yeah, it was definitely the crop thing, thanks for the help DarkFall and Gawain. I uploaded it here:

The crop limitation is new and has messed up a lot of blueprints.

Size class really does not matter as much as effecting the latacy cap. There are a lot of servers that run 20, 30, unlimited Class size. The trade off is less turret coverage and manuverability for massive BPs.

In a news release they said they were going to restrict planted crop plots but they did not indicate when or what update. If you are building in a legal SP Servival, than only Alien blocks should would making your BP red. They look nice but they are not BP aloud and you can find the mats in world to make the blocks. If you are playing unrestricted than it is easy to have Multi Warp Fuel tanks, Repair blocks, or other restricted items you might not think would or should effect your BP.

In an unrestricted Server or SP it might not appear restricted depending on settings. You can only truely determine that it is Illegal By Spawning it in a legal game. Hope that helps.

So probably not the right forum for this, but I finally figured out why I can't publish so many of my CVs... Apparently (because I make them in survival), having crops in the growing plots invalidates them... I'm pretty sure that is new as of a couple of builds ago, but silly and frustrating.

I made this design last year to test a theory and I really enjoyed making tunnels and caverns with it. It does say that it has too many lasers to be used in multiplayer in the description, I'd make it bold or preferably red/orange, but Steam doesn't really let you tweak formatting :S, On another note, I made a pretty neat CV that doesn't break any block limits (though it is size class 10) but it says it has illegal blocks, anyone know what it might refer to? I made it 100% in survival mode (as I do most of my BPs) so I'm not sure how that could happen, several of my older CVs have the same issue lately too.

Agreed, I like most of the work this author has done but this feels like a reversal of direction. I have seen first hand the toxicity of unristricted servers and the trolls that pushed the option on the devs in the first place. It is hard to believe that such a good designer would participated in this limiting play style.

Unrestricted servers force players to participated in gun to win to battles. Once the attack que is filled then only one players attacks count. Whomever has the best ping. The rest of the players might as well turn off their turrets and save ammo because it does not count in battle at that point. We have tested this countless times. 8.0 still has not resolved this.

Granted this is a drill but any unrestricted design supports that status que. Exploit a bug to win.

This is fine for unrestricted or co-op on your own, but you might concentrate on versions for the masses to gain popularity for your designs.
Gawain 26 May, 2018 @ 12:17pm
Illeagal or unrestricted parts.

Unrestricted servers are Ping to Win, design and skill does not matter on these servers as PVP exploits a game braking glytch which ignore High Ping players attacks, and SP players are surcomventing ballance and basic game challenges which is view as God Modding it because they are not realy playing the game.

You may find that many players hate your design based on these principles rather than performance or apperance of your BP.

This community is growning and many of them are surfing the workshop and forums, working to get the devs to remove the option for unrestricted parts from the game. To quote game devs "The option and exploits have developed a toxic status que, forcing players into a finite method of play which requires guns to win. More than just lag one players guns stop working.

I like your disign, but I will not tumbs up a unrestricted BP. I agree that these servers are abusing the option.
