Description
Whilst formulating ideas for the last P250 I submitted I mocked up a dragon version. Here is the fruits of my efforts. I’ve spent time working the line art into the mesh and finalised three different options. What's new is all designs have a normal map to help the engraving and give a small amount of surface bump detail. There is very little transition this time around as the best real estate for the dragon head is in the middle of the weapon which happens to be obscured by non-patina elements on the UV, meaning if I were to apply a transition the side knobs would not transition and stick out like a saw thumb. I could alter the alpha so those parts wore away immediately, but this looked like a blot in the design across all wear states sub ‘Factory new’. So rather than play a bad hand I decided to stick with what looked best, then have the transition shift only subtly through the wear states.

Revered Dragon
This was the first and main iteration; purple / magenta is an underrepresented hue from the current ingame offerings, the combination is one of my favourites when complimented with orange gradients reminiscent of beautiful sunsets. Paired up with a third accent colour of bright blue boosted the design further -- my only worry is that three hues may be ‘too much’. Despite this niggling feeling I love it and submitted it anyway, but as a contingency propagated the design to further options.

Sun Dragon
Golden brown, texture like sun. Another underrepresented p250 hue; the yellow-ochre / tangerine-brown combination is luxurious especially when combined with the light exponent. In my estimation this duotone iteration is a mid-tier option.

Kanbu Dragon
Monotone with very subtle spectral hues make this a low key (and perhaps low tier) iteration; the resulting blandness of colour promotes the illustrative elements to be the main standout feature. I added more scuffing and scratches, with some faint metal cloud to help the design.
