Fallout 3 - The Enclave

Description
====SPOILER WARNING====
If you have not yet completed the main questline of Fallout 3, then do not proceed into this mod's page, as it contains main story spoilers.

====!!!! IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTICE !!!!====
This mod requires the Brave New World expansion pack to work, and WILL NOT function properly without it. However, as with every other mod I have created, I have chosen not to modify the dependency setting to require Brave New World, so those that do not have it can use the mod as they please. However, the mod is almost guaranteed to be a horribly broken - but playable - mess without the second expansion pack, so if you do not have the Brave New World expansion pack, proceed into a game with this mod at your own risk.

Now that all that's out of the way, the Enclave is a militaristic science Civilization with bonuses to their Science outputs as well as enhanced militaristic abilities. With their ability to study and document the world around them on the fly, and provide effective reconnaissance against enemy forces, there are few enemies that the Enclave cannot face. In addition, their additional territory in each founded city allows them to grab up territory that much faster, denying it from other Civilizations. As an AI, John Henry Eden is a quite unpredictable and independent leader, but the only absolute you can rely on is his fondness for nuclear weapons.

====Unique Ability - The American Dream====
The Enclave receives additional territory when founding a City, a +20% boost to Great Scientist generation, and a -25% reduction in Experience required for units to earn their next Promotion.

====Unique Unit - Vertibird====
Replacing the Helicopter Gunship, the Vertibird is stronger and faster than its vanilla counterpart and requires Oil rather than Aluminum, but it is not as effective against enemy armor.

====Unique Tile Improvement - Field Research Outpost====
The Field Research Outpost is the Enclave's unique tile improvement, and while it only provides a +20% defensive boost to Units as opposed to the Fort's 50%, the Field Research Outpost allows the Enclave to study their enemies on the fly, providing +4 Science when worked by a City.

====Answers====
Question: Why the spoiler tag?

Answer: I only started playing Fallout 3 a couple of months ago, and I was actually quite surprised when I first turned the corner and learned that John Henry Eden was an AI instead of a man. I'm not going to take that moment away from anyone else who may be experiencing the game for the first time, especially those picking it up after getting into the Fallout universe through Fallout 4.

Question: Those colors look a bit like a City-State, could you change them?

Answer: I'm afraid not. Hey, it's not my fault that the Enclave uses completely black Power Armor with bright blue neon signs in Raven Rock.

Question: If somebody already made an Enclave mod, why did you do the same?

Answer: The mod by Ryan Parsons mixed elements of Fallout 3 and Fallout 2, while my mod is focused almost entirely on the Enclave's Fallout 3 appearance, hence John Henry Eden instead of ♥♥♥♥ Richardson. Also, Parsons' mod's blue and white colors were taken from the in-universe American flag, something that I felt did not represent the Enclave as well as my black and blue color scheme could have, so I set out to make my own iteration.

Question: Could I get a link to that other mod so I can check it out?

Answer: Of course. It's only fair.

Relatively common issue. Navigate to your game's mod folder and see if anything related to the Enclave is in there. If you find nothing, the mod didn't download properly from the Steam workshop when you subscribed and you'll need to use Steamworkshopdownloader.com . If you find a file called "Fallout 3 - The Enclave.civ5mod" it means that the mod did download properly, but the game isn't unpacking it. The solution to get the game to unpack is to go to look for the file called "Civ5ModsDatabase.db" in another folder and delete it. After that, go into the game and open the mod menu and wait - the game will build a new one from scratch. Do note that it will also correct any inaccuracies - like if you have a mod downloaded that's been removed from the workshop, the game might delete it on you.

@Dustwalker Because all my mods are made in Brave New World, and some of them reference Brave New World coding. Some mods have unique units that replace the XCOM Squad or the Bazooka, which are both units added by the Brave New World expansion pack.

why does everything you make need brave new world?

@Celimbrimbor I don't know how. It's a very difficult and time-consuming process, and it takes a long time to learn and to master. Some modders, including myself, choose to pour their time and effort into developing the Civilizations themselves rather than making custom models. It's a very advanced skill reserved for only the most advanced modders.

Most mods that don't have custom models are just as well-received and downloaded as ones that do, which would indicate that most people don't mind that lack of custom models that much anyway.

Why didnt you make custom models?
