Endworld

Description
provinces: 121 land and 23 sea
wraparound: full

Endworld. The final battle. Blare the trumpets and clash spear to shield.
For this is the end of days. One will rise and claim dominion over all that came before.

Suitable for up to 9 players (max 1 water nation).
This map was built as the final battle in the late age for the Multiplayer YouTuber series.
Generated with Cartographic Revision. Illustrated by DasTactic (www.youtube.com/dastactic)

Map location: If you are wanting to see the map files after you have subscribed to the map you should find them in...
Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\722060\1382356904
The best thing to do is to copy Endworld.map, Endworld.tga, and Endworld_winter.tga to:
%appdata%/dominions5/maps/
I haven't tested what will happen but you may need to delete the Steam workshop files so you don't have a duplicate of the files.

Where are the f*cking caves?
Some national troops can be hired only there.

Great map, upvoted.
I would like to support the request to remove the blue tint from the land tiles: especially in winter, the cold tiles look similar to the water.
Thanks!

also I'm not sure if you are still working on this but would you consider adding caves? They are critical to the economies for many nations.

The map looks nice and rather balanced in terms of provinces, but placing of 'nostarts' is terrible. The map has not a single coastline start, which harms several nations. I personally wanted to try this as Phaecia (there are a couple of nice islands), but was placed in the middle of land.

For some reason the files for this map were set as executable. Odd.

Great looking map Das!

Beautiful map, just wish the water was a bit more blue and the cold areas a bit more white like snow or something, as it is they are so similar at a glance.
Anyway I'm enjoying the multiplayer game videos, good luck Das!

Hi guys, Just to answer some questions...

The map is designed to be a backdrop to the units and UI of the game itself and this is why it is so faded. I play-tested different colour schemes until I was happy with the soft effect. I wanted the map to be there but not to be the main focus. I hadn't wanted the map to over-power the game at all. So on that score it is WAD - sorry. :)

I'm not sure about the 'Only Online' requirement, sorry. I can't see anything I can do about that from my side. Please let me know if there is a setting I can change that will fix this.

And no, there were no cave areas created. When the map was generated I thought the highland provinces were caves and it wasn't until I was a long way in that I realised they weren't.

Guys, if you like a more saturated map, you can always customize the image files with Gimp or another free image editing tool. Look for "saturation", "hue", and/or "contrast" settings. The map files themselves are in your Steam sub-directory. I can't remember where exactly, but ask on the forums. Just copy those files to your own local map directory and you've got your own version of the map to edit. I've done this myself with several maps that I wanted to tweak.
