Description
Features: 86 Pre-Scripted Empires+
This is the expanded edition of Just More Empires, using several other flavor mods and the original JME roster of empires to vastly expand on the selection of stock pre-scripted empires. This mod works with others to offer a wide range of carefully designed, thematically consistent, and content-enriched factions to populate your games. When starting a new game, Stellaris will randomly choose empires from the roster to seed throughout the galaxy.

For the achievement compatible version of this mod, see Just More Empires (Achievement Compatible). Use one or the other, not both.

01 June 18 Update: Planetary Diversity added as a dependency. All empires in the roster now have homeworld classes that fully utilize the options presented by PD.

Warning: Expect new dependencies to appear from time to time as I continue to develop this mod.

Additional Features: More Flavor
- Unique flag patterns and emblem art via Just More Flags
- New and exaggerated species traits via Just More Traits
- Earth and Deneb-based empires feature unique start screen messages and AI personalities
- Earth and Deneb-based empires communicate with each other using unique diplomatic phrases

Features In Develoment: Even More Flavor
- More unique start screen messages
- More unique AI personalities with custom diplomatic phrases
- More unique preset home systems for empires beyond Sol and Deneb
- Unique tradition options for specific empires

Dependencies: A Few
- Just More Flags (adds unique emblems and flag backgrounds)
- Just More Traits (adds 'missing' species traits to the gaps in the stock options)
- Just Name Lists (40+ thematically consistent custom name lists and growing)
- Diverse Rooms by Blackfyre (hundreds of amazing sci-fi concept art backgrounds)
- Planetary Diversity by Gatekeeper

Further Details
The random number generator (RNG) is an amazing part of Stellaris, making it possible to never encounter the same galaxy twice. If, like me however, you prefer fewer of the zany totally random creations like peacock hive minds and GEICO gekko fanatic purifiers in favor of somewhat more familiar sci-fi archetypes, then this may be the mod for you!

All 53 possible government types in Stellaris as of 2.0.4 are represented in the roster at least once, and I took care to equitably distribute species traits and civics to reduce a sense of same-ness. Regardless of your empire's ethics, the chance of encountering a hostile neighbor is as good as encountering a friendly one when playing in a Just More Empires galaxy. Homeworld types are also balanced so that all nine types of habitable planet have nearly equal representation.

There are also twelve different Earth-based empires in this mod, but only one will appear in any game (none will appear as an AI if you start on Earth as the player). Will you encounter the freedom-loving Earth Colonial Administration? The xeno-hating Divine Terran Crusade? Or perhaps the post-communist Revolutionary Union of Sol?

You will also find six different Deneb-based Human empires, themed as alternative stories to the canon Commonwealth of Man's colonization of that system. These alternative Denebs work in the same way. Only one can appear in any galaxy. This makes for a great number of possible Earth/Deneb combinations for lots more variety in your human-to-human interstellar politics.

Compatibility: Variable

DLC/Story Packs: Inherently Compatible
In order to play as or in a galaxy with the Humanoid or Plantoid empires in this mod, you'll need to own the relevant species pack DLC. You'll need the Utopia expansion to play as or in a galaxy with any of the empires that have the Syncretic Evolution civic. You'll need Synthetic Dawn for the machine empires. Of the entire roster, however, about 60% require no DLC or expansions at all, so you're still getting over 40 pre-scripted empires for a totally vanilla copy of Stellaris.

AI, Gameplay, Graphics, GUI & Sound Mods: Probably Compatible
Mods that make significant changes to default portraits, traits, ethics, and civics may break Just More Empires (Expanded) at this time. Mods that only add to these defaults will probably work with it just fine.

Real Space: Mostly Compatible
When playing with Real Space, which is highly recommended because RS is awesome, only the Medium Sol Sector seems to be compatible with JME Sol/Earth-based empires. Do not choose the Real Space Large or Small Sol Sectors.

Sol System Expanded: Not Really Compatible
If you use Sol System Expanded starting Sol systems in your custom empires while running JME, you will likely see more than one Sol in your games.

Cultural Overhaul 2.2 Ethics-Civics: May Conflict
Users report that this mod removes some of the JME empires.

Alternative Implementation

If you prefer granular control over which empires spawn, drop the contents of this pastebin https://pastebin.com/vpGK3DAs into your user_empire_designs.txt and disable the mod.

If you enjoy this mod, please rate it positively and favorite it so others can find it more easily.

Is this compatible with Distant Origins? Thank you!

Have you considered giving some of these empires origins other than prosperous unification? I've seen a fair few that mention secondary species running around alongside the main empire. The flavour text is extremely satisfying and really helps to bring each empire to life. I love it.

For the folks who don't want any other human empires (Sol nor Deneb), I made this edited version of the file. https://pastebin.com/4MqJ4JUE

@G7Strix and @Cheesey_Wonder I am not the dev but it looks like the way it spawns the empires is similar to to force spawning the user empires, only it happens first. So unless your galaxy is big enough to spawn all the JME empires AND your own user created ones, there wont be enough room to spawn them. What I do is to use the alternate implementation to make these act like user generated empires and then I have them also force spawn. It makes them the same priority to spawn as the empires I made. It does not guarantee that mine will spawn, but it does give them an equal chance.

using any alternative GUI will result in no flag/logo for generated empires, while using civics and ethics expanded it has been noted that generated empires do not use new civics and ethics causing significant balance issues.

This mod is 3.0 compatible. I have ran into some new balancing and graphical issues with this mod due to conflictions with those specified in the compatibility section, but otherwise works just fine.
