Description
A companion for the original Project Fallout v1.6b mod by AshbornK-9.

Notes:
This mod MUST be loaded after the Project Fallout v1.6b mod or this will not work as intended.

This mod requires the custom scenario named Project Fallout Companion which was specifically designed to mimic a Fallout experience. (see below link) This scenario will remove many elements of RimWorld which are not suited to the overall Fallout theme.

I highly recommend using ResearchPal by Fluffy when playing this mod. (see below link)
This companion was designed using ResearchPal as a foundational piece.

I have messed around a fair bit with Tynan's vanilla files. As such, this mod may not be friendly with the core mechanics of other mods. See below changelog for details.

Changelog:
Version 1.0:

Biomes:
Altered each biome's plants and animals to suit the overall Fallout theme.

Drugs/Chems:
Added herbal anodyne and antibiotics. Removed the bulk of of vanilla drugs to bring Project Fallout's chems to the forefront. As such, certain plants such as psychoid and their recipes are unavailable.

Factions:
Have created Settlers, Raiders, and Gunners with lore-based faction and settlement names.
When generating your starting world, check the factions before starting your game. You may need to randomize seeds multiple times to get the desired results as they may vary with each attempt.

Pawns:
Have created a wide variety of lore-based characters with applicable inventory load-outs.

Recipes:
Added meat on a stick and meat stew which can be cooked on a camp fire.

Research:
I have altered the core of the vanilla game to make research more detailed, suppressing some vanilla projects and tech. Some basic objects and/or knowledge is now listed as research projects to give the mod a "just left the vault" feeling.

Animals:
Added radstags, yaoguai, and altered the Thrumbo event to now spawn Deathclaws. Treat them like you would Thrumbos except less friendly and very, very hungry.

NOTE REGARDING DEATHCLAW EVENT: I did not alter any .dll files and as such did not alter the event dialogue. This mod will announce the Deathclaw(s) as Thrumbo(s). If anyone wants to change the core event dialogue to properly represent the altered event, I would add it to a future version.

"And right now I can see there's something coming. Drawn by the noise, and the chaos. And it is... angry. I see... I see... Oh, it's horrible, kid. Claws and teeth and horns. The very face of death itself."
~Mama Murphy

Deathclaws can drop their hands after being butchered which can then be constructed into deathclaw guantlets.

Removed many of the vanilla animals except for event based manhunters, roaming herds, and animals available from traders. Any remaining vanilla animals still need to be "radded" such as rats, wolves, wargs, etc.

Plants:
Added radiated potato, hubflower, carrot flower, glowing fungus, melon blossom, and thistle for use with specific recipes. Can be harvested in nature and/or reseached and grown. Supressed ability to grow devilstrand and psychoid plant.

Weapons:
Removed the bulk of the vanilla guns to bring Project Fallout's guns to the forefront.

More to come...

Without his original mod, Project Fallout v1.6b, none of what I did would be possible.
Thank you for your inspiration and permisssion, sir.

Is it Vanilla Expanded? I thought it was a ReGrowth biome.

Yeah bro I'd pay for this to be updated

Sorry to bother you, friendo, although this is technically out of date, is it still usable? Because this mod is essential. There are some older mods that are compatible as long as they don't alter certain things and I'm kinda hoping this applies here. Been away from the game for a while and hoping to get my Fallout experiences again :)

Good because the mod was created for RimWorld v 0.18 and hasn't been updated since.

The tag still says 0.18

Good point @LoneSomeRider
Apologies for the way I named the Companion back when I released it for 0.18

I have updated the mod name. Thanks.
