Description
General information

This mod requires the 16-08-20 version or later of Vox Populi (also known as Community Balance Patch)[forums.civfanatics.com]. If you have not heard of VP or CBP, you can check it out its forum[forums.civfanatics.com] or wiki[civ-5-cbp.wikia.com]

The Papal States


Apostolic See (Unique Ability)

Tourism is increased by 50% with Civilizations that share your Religion. +2 Faith from Palace, Wonders, and Great Works. +50% conversion strength for Missionaries and Great Prophets.

Chapel (Unique Building) (replaces Temple)


  • 2 Great Work slots instead of 1, which provide a Theming bonus when filled with Great Works created by you.
  • Up to three Chapels may be built per City, each with different Great Work slot types.
  • Costs less Production (150 instead of 200).
  • Costs no Gold maintenance.

Disciple (Unique Unit) (standalone)


  • Can create unique Great Works.
  • Can also be expended to generate a large sum of Golden Age Points.
  • Can only be purchased with Faith in the Capital.
  • Has a purchase cooldown of 8 turns (scaling with game speed).
  • May move immediately after purchase.

For some reason the Civ is not showing up in the selection screen before starting a game.

This mod breaks the tourism screen if used with VP no-EUI

Does the city have a religion? Cities need a religion to be able to faith purchase.

I was playing a game as the Papal States when I found out that I cannot purchase disciples. Are they unlocked at a specific tech?

I've just have a game with Papal States (VP + Cultural Diversity installed) It seems that the problem where special Papal States soundtrack is not played still occurs. Can you check it out? Regards.
