Description
This mod aims to improve the quality of armor on NPCs and the functionality of weapons. Most NPCs (not all) have standard or higher gear and weapons now because it's a bit silly to see everyone with cheap clothes and copper weapons everywhere. I didn’t do anything overpowered, nor did I touch any of the character stats of the NPCs. However, I did make minor improvements to (a few) squad numbers where I have seen a lack of consistency, but there isn't anything game changing in this aspect.

This will make fighting last longer, opponents a bit harder to defeat and possible even reduce town wipes from various roaming enemies.

All weapons have a specific skill now. For example Spring Bat is most efficient against Beak Things, or Planks are more effective against humans whereas Katanas deal extra damage to Sh(r)ek NPCs and so on. You will have to explore most of the weapons on your own, again, I did not touch any of the original damage stats of the weapons and I only added the race damage function to them. The quality of the weapons will have a slightly bigger change of being iron or higher then copper just so things don't get out of hand in battles!

I believe this will make players be more careful in battles as the enemy will be harder to put down on your own without a group or other NPC's help.

The higher gear is also a good opportunity for players to collect and sell items from defeated NPCs for a better price and escape the burden of always having to carry trash in the inventory for sale.

I am open to feedback regarding the modifications as I might have missed or maybe even setup the wrong skills on various weapons. From my own tests everything should work smoothly and I haven't met any overpowered mob I couldn’t deal with, unless I was specifically looking for trouble with a stronger group.

Note: In case you have other mods that change the global values of the game for weapons, squads, characters and gear, place this mod last in the load order!

Bandit bosses used to spawn with merch armor now they dont, I dont know what would affect this.

I've been trying to mod around a bit myself, so I looked into your mod with FCS.

So you increased the "armor grade" stat for most characters by +1. So e.g.: armor grade 1 (shoddy) gets replaced by armor grade 2 (standard).

My question would be: did you do that manually for every character? Or did you use some kind of "find & replace" function to turn 1 -> 2, and 2 -> 3 etc.?

Yolo$wagger it's based on each individual weapon. I don't think I even changed them all, so a few weapons might have been left untouched.

Hi FoxyAndris, more of a technical question: did you create the bonuses based on weapon CLASS or based on each individual weapon?

Why I am asking: If I activate mods which add new weapons, (e.g.: new sabers and katanas) will these new weapons get bonuses from your mod?

I must have misunderstood. The mod is expected to make the game harder rather than easier, the weapon bonuses are really too great. it completely removes almost all animals from rivals... Sorry that) mod simply not established, only skriny looked, bonuses discouraged desire to questioning) like complication of the game and Mod on oblechgenie) do further seek a similar on strengthening arm NPC)

Tra Adar The bonus stats are on top of the original damage values, meaning I didn't touch the default values. The bonus is not extraordinary and it is there to give a bit of scale immersion, but other than this the bonus does not imply that you can't use weapons generically against foes like you do in the vanilla game.

If it wasn't for the weapon bonuses, it would be cool. And with bonuses, it's not worth it... And that's a pity...
