Descrição
"From time to time she sneaks out into the deep woods after sunrise to meet her old friend about whom she cannot tell anybody.
He on the other hand finally enjoys some good company after inhabiting this lonely forest for many decades."

Update 26.10.2018: reworked this wallpaper a bit and added a YouTube video. Enjoy ^^

Nice. Then i don´t have to move particles out of the camera view anymore to get the desired effect. Makes things easier.

Right now you can't do that, but I wanted to make this possible with the 'composition layer' sometime. Meaning you set particles up to be rendered to that layer instead of the wallpaper itself and then you can apply effects to that layer like masks and after that, merge it with the wallpaper again.

Hi ^^ forgot to ask a few days back but is it possible to include some kind of an opacity mask for particles? Would be a great improvment while working with particles.

Sounds cool. I´m looking forward what you may put in the engine regarding the water stuff. Bring it on. ;-)

I guess the best solution would be to make it a choice, but actually I'd rather have something that moves like some kind of water wave when I think about audio responsive water effects. That can't be done with the image effect though, probably more doable with refractive particles right now, maybe it could even be a preset.

I was thinking about the ripple strenght, the scroll speed and direction or whatever other stuff is possible. :steamhappy:

I think doing proper BPM in real time isn't even possible, you need to analyze the track beforehand and it must be a limited, specific track. So that doesn't make sense for how Wallpaper Engine is supposed to work.

What I might try is adding a smoothing option for each effect/particle component with audio response, hopefully that will help a bit.

What did you have in mind exactly for the water effect? I could add something easily as long as it only scales one of the existing properties, that's basically how I added it to shake and pulse. Not sure if that would work well with the water effect tbh.

btw: is it possible to maybe add an audio reponse to the water fx in a future release of WE? Have a few ideas in my mind if that maybe possible.

Yes, audio and shake always ended up twitchy no matter what i tried. Haven´t figured it out yet how to do it the best way, same with the pulse fx. What i like to do is a kind of a slower pulse effect. Don´t know how to explain it....just imagine the pulse effect without the audio response, it fades slowly in and out...exactly like that but with some kind of small audio response, just not so fast so that it doesn´t get to nervous.
I know that this may depend on the sound frequencies and the BPM so i don´t know if such a thing is even possible.

lol...your video is dope :steamhappy: ^^

The eye is a bit weird but otherwise it's neat. I also tried something with audio responsive shake: https://streamable.com/8p8sl it's just a bit too twitchy though.
