Small Garage

A small, 3x3 non-descript growable level 1 commercial garage.

Asset Stats
Main mesh: 557 tris
LoD: 66 tris

Textures 1024 and 128

Props and Decoration
I propped this one up, but there is still a lot of room on the 3x3 plot. I placed lights, benches, entry points, garbage, air circulation, etc. - vanilla props only, so no DLCs or downloads required.

About...
Have you ever over-engineered a project? Like, worked on something and put more effort into it than you needed to? That was this little guy. At first, I thought, why not build a cute little retro gas station? And, then I thought, why not make said gas station into an electric vehicle charging station, that's kind of the thing now, isn't it? So I built a bunch of extra geometry to make a charging station and garage. Then I put the asset in the game... And then I started to think again. Here's a look at what it was[i.imgur.com]. I started to wonder if it was really worth it.

By the time I'd built the gas bar and sign, I was having a hard time deciding RICO or not. You see, the asset I had made had 1024x2048 textures. I'm loathe to do that now unless it's something really special - which this wasn't. Long story short, the building looked good, but the gas bar and sign did not. So I cut the weight and threw this together. Heck, I even tried it as a power station, so I could get the sign to rotate. All of it, not really worth the effort.

I guess this would be a cautionary tale from me to you about stopping when you should probably stop. :D Simple is good sometimes.

Please enjoy - and do let me know if something's not working.

If you'd like to do this asset from the ground up yourself, here are the source files[drive.google.com]. Just plop them in your import folder and fire up the asset editor.

So glad you decided to upload it as it is, as plain this leaves a lot more room for possibilities. I'm going to add this to my collection of other garages and warehouses in my growing industrial district, and this is perfect! Love your work!!
