Death Hag Damage Buff

Description
Updated for Silence and Fury!

This small mod buffs the Death Hag's damage while on foot by increasing her Armour-Piercing damage significantly, allowing her to deal much more damage to heavily armoured targets such as most heroes and lords. It slightly reduces her overall damage though in order to maintain consistency with other armour piercing heroes and lords. CA usually reduce a hero/lord's overall damage by 10% when they decide to change their damage to be primarily Armour-Piercing. For reference, the Death Hag's damage, when on foot, is now identical to that of the Dark Elf Master hero.

Vanilla Damage: 280 Base, 120 AP
Modded Damage: 145 Base, 215 AP


In the past this mod also altered the damage of the Death Hag when mounted on her cauldron. That change has been deprecated, since CA decided to make the cauldron do Armour-Piercing damage in a previous patch, so I removed it. Funnily enough, CA decided to give the Death Hag's cauldron more AP damage than I did, lol! :)

I don't know why CA felt that they had to reduce the Death Hag's Bonus vs Infantry by 5, but whatever, I incorporated that change.

After a long wait, I have updated this mod for the latest patch. Death Hags' cauldrons received a buff in a patch a while ago and so this mod no longer alters their damage. Now this mod alters Death Hag on foot damage to be the same as the Master hero, 360 total damage, 60% Armour-Piercing. I feel this is a balanced and fair change, and enjoy using it in my own game.

Yeah, when I think of Death Hags I generally imagine them on foot too. I would have tried to fit both mounted and unmounted variants in the thumbnail if I could but there's no way that would have looked any good.

Exactly so! Thanks for explaining! I understand that it can be confusing, since Death Hags' names don't change to reflect their mounted status. I will add a note to the screenshots to make it clear. :)
