Welcome to Brest/Bretagne!
Build your city in the area of Brest, a seaport in Brittany located in the north west of France. Brittany is known for impressive cliffsides, awesome scenery and of course: French hydrangea! You will find them in the city-entrance (providing that you download them from the list, which is strongly recommended).
Beside of that you will find all of the four resources like farmland, forestry, ore and even oil within the 25 tiles – and if you will play it with 81-tiles-mod in the outer regions as well. The amount of oil isn‘t that much (to keep it as close to reality as possible).
Highway- and plane-connections go in all four directions, ship-routes to West, South and East and additional to that we have a railway from East to North.
The imported heightmap is real, decoration and streets are „freehand“ and count as „artistic license“ by me ;)
I softened the terrain for better gameplay though, so there’s enough space to build a huge city.
To have full visual benefit, it’s necessary to download some items like trees and props – see link beside. You can also download them with one click from my Brest_Bretagne-collection: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1339670051.
Without that you will have a non-decorated map – and the map looses it’s charme.
I’m not sure if you really need the „network-extensions 2“-mod http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=812125426&searchtext=network+extensions , the „no-pillars“-mod http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=463845891&searchtext=no+pillars and "network skins"-mod http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=543722850&searchtext=network+skins , but I created the map with them, so you better use them as well to prevent game-crashing.
