Before everything
Hello my fellow dwellers, do you often find yourselves in uneasy situation because of Bethesda ?
Yes you know what i mean, thoses so-called "updates" that fix nothing and are just made for the paid mods.
Those updates that broke the lovely F4SE and many mods.
Well fear not, survivor of the nuclear apocalypse, because this guide can help you.

UPDATE : Yes, you can do this to avoid the so called "next gen" patch. And i highly recommand to do so, as Bugthesda will probably break almost everything with it.
Step 1
Right click Fallout 4 in your Steam library.
Step 2
Click on "Properties".
Step 3
Go to the "Update" panel.
Step 4
Select "Update this game only when launched".
Step 5
DON'T UPDATE.
Step 6
Launch the game trough F4SE.
Your game will not update itself. Never.
Post Scriptum
I have to say that rewarding modders is important, making mods is hard and take time, dedication and talent.
But the Creation Club is a wrong way.
If mods in the CC were all masterpieces, i woudn't go against it.
They are plenty of very high quality content in the mods, lots of content that often surpass vanilla content.
But not on the CC.
Be sure to thanks the modders that gave you all the good times.
Post Post Scriptum
About the "next gen" patch, for the time being i highly suggest to avoid it, and wait for a few months.
Have fun in the Wasteland.

The value of this guide isn't even about the CC, it's about avoiding the 'free update' next week that will probably break all the mods I like, as happened to Skyrim SE in January. I think I have some CC mods, but only the ones that were free. I don't use them, but they won't stay deleted.

Also, to add onto my previous post, at this time I have an anime girl as my PFP, so my opinion doesn't really count. Will change that soon.

IMO the only mod worth getting in CC is the modular backpacks mod. And even that can be replaced with a ton of mods, like TravelPack, Militarized Minutemen (adds in a backpack that looks great, comprable to the CC mod), et al. Great guide, will do as soon as F4SE updates this time around.

@Aliencore - I saw CC mods reviews. Stuff like BFG9000 and similar. They not only are paid content, but are just crap compared to what is available from community sources for free. Heck, I probably could make stuff comparable to whats on CC myself. For free.

Just check out mods like Sim Settlement and you will see it. If you still insist CC is better, you are both a hypocrite and you have vested interest in promoting CC.

Aliencore: you're an idiot if you think we should use bethesda only mods. Seriously fuck off

Step 1: don't use non-Bethesda mods
