Debuting in 2003, Cage began his career in the Cali-indy scene before moving to the south in a attempt to gain entrance to then WWE developmental territory, Deep South Wrestling.

By 2008 he had achieved his goal and received a WWE contract. A year into his FCW run he was lost in the shuffle, a common problem for FCW.

Released by 09 he would end up in the Cali indies again, this time with PWG.

A few TNA appearances aside his big break would not come til his time with Lucha Underground.

This would vault him runs with NOAH, AAA and Impact Wrestling.
