[AGI] MV-75 Mestra (Modular Vehicle)

Description
[No Mods]
[Survival Ready]

Important:
- Advanced Rotor in the vehicle is used to connect different modules with advanced rotor head (both large and small grid heads work) - If built from blueprint, anything connected to pistons or rotors won't be buildable as they are considered to be part of an another grid
Description:
As a flatbed truck capable of using wide variety of modules, MV-75 Mestra was designed to solve the problem of extending list of specialized vehicles required by growing colonies. While the standard cargo container module is by far the most famous module in use by Argonaut Industries, such modules as oxygen tank, O2/H2 Generator, Battery and Assembler are all widely used.
General Stats:
Length: 10 m Width: 4 m Height: 4,25 m Weight: 25,335 t (Without Cargo) +4,487 t (Empty Cargo Module) Speed Limit: 90 km/h Total PCU: 4280
Technical Stats:
Power System: - 11x Battery (Small) Oxygen System: - 1x Air Vent Cargo System: - 1x Connector (Bottom) - 2x Cargo Container (Small) Module System: - 2x Cargo Container (Medium) - 2x Battery (Small) Max Cargo Weight (Recommended): - 21 t (Realistic Block Inventory) Weapon System: - N/A Other Systems: - Antenna - Remote Control - Rotor For Trailer Connection - Advanced Rotor For Module Connection Seating Capacity: - 1x Cockpit Vehicle Handling: - 8-Wheel Drive - Gyroscope Handling Assistance - 8x Artificial Mass Blocks (Artificial Mass = 16 t) Vehicle Maintenance: - Car Jack (4x Pistons) - 2x Spare Wheels - Projector With Blueprint - Emergency Vehicle Flip System (Gyroscope Overide)

Yeah that could actually work quite well for your needs.

@Smokki You are welcome! :) I just saw your recommendation for the T6 Mk2 6x6 truck here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1662355572 on the AGI ATV-8 page, so I think I will try that.

@fluffybobcat24 Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad you like my vehicles :) I don't often build vehicles that could handle such a heavy load, though you could try to modify this vehicle so that instead of those modules, it would have two small grid large cargo containers. It would probably require other tweaks too, but I could see it being possible.

@Smokki It looks awesome! You make some of the best vehicles on the workshop, Smokki! Your testing and tweaking of your vehicles before publishing them really shines through! Yours handle even better, without DAS, than other people's rovers handle with it! It is really something. BTW, do you have any rovers capable of carrying 2x Large Cargo Containers (Small Grid)?? I need something that can do cargo runs between my main base and a rotor-drill boring machine I build on a Nickel deposit a ways away from my base with this script: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1695500366&searchtext=automatic+drilling+platform
and I need to be able to haul a lot in one trip, without sacrificing handling and flip-resistance. I like your PV-6 vehicle, but it just can't carry enough cargo.

@Gdog900T That's great to hear :) Welcome back to Space Engineers. And Thanks for the information, that's really helpful.

I've just started playing Space Engineers again and one of the first things I built myself was one of these. I had made a modification to the design and added a trailer rotor, looks like I need not bother with my modification anymore! A fantastic vehicle that will continue to be the workforce of my ground ops.

As for the wheel issue I found a possible workaround. Jack it up on the pistons and then set the suspension to full out (-32cm) and it should then allow you to add a wheel. I ran into that same problem with not being able to weld those 2 blocks behind the wheel but then not being to place the wheel afterwards. Hope this helps!

@Echo Thank you :) I removed scripts from this but by all means, go ahead and add DAS into it.

Wheels: Unfortunately that seems to be oversight from Keens part. Some months ago they added the possibility to add blocks closer to wheel and of course I had to update this blueprint back then as it looked much nicer that way. This was never however updated to how projections work. You should be able to replace those two blocks per wheel manually after the wheels are built.

Connectors: For these vehicles with bottom connector, I use the setup you can see in the 2nd screenshot. Connectors in the middle surrounded by blast door blocks. Though there's also a small annoyance with the connectors. When I designed these vehicles it worked flawlessly, but in some update the behavior of connectors was changed and now the connector can cause this weird "locking effect" (even if they are turned off) when trying to park the vehicle.

Now this is a vehicle I can use . I've got two at the moment and will probably print more.

Two things though. When I print it, I cannot add the wheels without removing two blocks per wheel that I can't replace later. Also, how do you recommend placing connectors in the vehicles' parking spaces? I use a flush floor connector and drop the trucks' suspension all the way down but that doesn't seem right.

I'm also thinking of putting DAS on board

Keep up the good work and congratulations on having Keen use your designs and world in its trailer.

Yeah, I plan to release world or at least a facility to manufacture vehicles and modules one day.

If you made a facility that allowed for easy construction of this at the push of a button, I would subscribe in a heartbeat.
