there arent any limits of specific files per addon, you can probably have thousands of files in a single addon as long as its under the size limit (which i cant remember)
the only limit of specifically materials per something is 32 (or 64 with cra0kalo's hacked compiler) and thats the model material limit

I was actually planning to make a shared material pack soon- I believe there is a limit to the number of materials a specific addon can contain?

protip if ur going to port lots of cars: use shared materials.
if you dont know how: in your qc add another $cdmaterials line pointing towards what you want as your shared materials directory. if the model doesnt find materials in the first cdmaterials path, it will look in the next cdmaterials path(s)
