Description
Works with the latest current version of DeI and the last Patch.

This mod is the new version of my other mod "Heavy Roman Navy & expansion with new formations", revised and made totally compatible and rebalanced for DeI.

With this mod, also naval battles will be more interesting and exciting.

The other two naval mods are compatible with DeI: Heavy Greek Navy - for DeI and Heavy Southern & Eastern Navy - for DeI. I recommend the use of both for a best experience of gaming.

Similarly to the base-mod, this mod consists of the largest warships (octeres and hepteres) with new elite troops, and the whole range of warships with the best troops vanilla.

This mod works in Main Campaign, in Imperator Augustus Campaign, in Caesar in Gaul Campaign, in Hannibal at the Gates Campaign and in custom battle.
This unit pack contains 18 naval units (4 are recruitable as admirals, too), each with its own card and the corresponding Latin number:
- Octeres with Double Heavy Tower + Praetorianum Evocati;
- Octeres with Double Heavy Tower + Praetoriani Praesidi;
- Octeres with Heavy Tower and Harpax + Marine Imperial Heavy Cohort;
- Octeres with Heavy Tower and Scorpio + Auxiliary Heavy Archers;
- Hepteres with Double Fighting Tower + Praetorianum Evocati;
- Hepteres with Double Fighting Tower + Praetoriani Praesidi;
- Hepteres with Fighting Tower and Harpax + Roman Evocati Cohort;
- Hepteres with Fighting Tower and Scorpio + Auxiliary Heavy Archers;
- Hexeres with Double Fighting Tower + Legionary Cohort;
- Hexeres with Fighting Tower and Scorpio + Legionary Sagittarii;
- Heavy Artillery Hexeres with Fighting Tower + Roman Onager;
- Heavy Artillery Hexeres with Fighting Tower + Roman Ballista;
- Penteres with Double Fighting Tower + Legionary Cohort;
- Penteres with Fighting Tower and Scorpio + Legionary Sagittarii;
- Tetreres with Double Fighting Tower + Veteran Legionaries;
- Tetreres with Double Scorpio + Auxiliary Roman Archers;
- Trieres with Fighting Tower + Veteran Legionaries;
- Trieres with Scorpio + Auxiliary Roman Archers.

This mod includes the formations I made in Best Roman Formations - DEI version , so it is not necessary to activate.


For a more complete gaming experience it is recommended (but not required) to activate the related mods for recruit the ground troops.

- This work is save compatible and it should work without problems with any other working mods compatible with DeI.
- To have a better environmental graphics I suggest the use of New lighting and environments mod from "Aztec's Environments and Lightings" (all credits to Aztec).

Seems this is abandoned sadly. Anyone know if there has been a up to date reupload?

The mod is massively broken. The AI will use the wedge, and disciplined formation buttons and spam them on units non-stop. The wedge formation turns a roman unit into a literal buzzsaw causing any unit it faces in any other formation to be shredded to pieces.

Whenever I load the campaign, the game crashes and takes me back to the desktop.

also archer ships for rome at least their fire damage is way to low compare to other missile ships in game

it works fine , but could you possibly increase their movement range to match that of original ships in DEI? because their range of movement is like way short that of original ships

Any word on an update to the mod? None of them seem to work with DeI as @Lucius Murtrodius™ Publicola mentioned as well
