Witcher 2 Style Dawnguard Heavy Plate

Description
This is a mesh and texture edit of L0rdOfWar's excellent Witcher 2 Heavy Plate armours and includes a set for the Dawnguard faction with improved textures and normal maps to give it a 'worn' appearance in-game.

To get the Dawnguard Steel Plate set, you'll need to have the Dawnguard expansion installed and then buy them from Gunmar at the Fort; once he's been recruited that is.... Or alternatively you can just cheat and spawn them in via the console menu.

Many thanks to L0rd0fWar for his excellent work in porting over the base meshes and textures from Witcher 2.

** After a full re-installation, Steam Workshop refused to sync with my old files and as a result I was unable to upload anything to my original Mods, forcing me to delete them and re-upload again from scratch. Sorry for the inconvenience **

Changes:-
1.01
* Fixed some clipping issues with the wrists when using bare hands.
* Reduced clipping with the ankles.

1.00
* Added Female meshes to both armour sets.

0.85
* Fixed Cuirass ground meshes.
* Added Nifskope friendly meshes for those who wish to edit/change the textures.
* Streamlined the textures used by each nif file to make it more efficient and reduce the overall file size.

With 0.80 & 0.81
* Textures and normal maps have been edited to give both armour sets a more 'worn' appearance.
* Removed the Witcher 2 faction emblems and plate neck defence.
* Fixed some minor issues with helm width, tasset and knee rigging.

Known issues/bugs:-
* Some slight bleed-through and clipping at the ankles when using bare feet.

You can see this armour in action thanks to an excellent Youtube video posted by LiveStyleGaming as part of his 'Skyrim Mod of the Day'

Some old stuff simply looks better in my opinion and not a big deal, the whole set looks damn good.

The helmet hasn't been changed, it uses the default Dawnguard one - I can't remember what it's called (Dawnguard heavy helmet maybe), bearing in mind that it's been something like 10 years now since I released this so I'm quite surprised that anyone still plays the original Skyrim or uses this mod. ;)

Is Funmar supposed to sell a full set? I've waited 48 hours after buying everything but the helpmet does't show up.

Sure. Just remember that this uses assets from the Dawnguard DLC, so as long as nothing violates the EULA then feel free to include this in any project you like, just don't forget to give the original author and myself credit if you do. :)

Hey @Robertson, chance I can include this into a project i'm working on? I'm planning to expand and enhance Fort Dawnguard (as well as some more armor pieces overall, and a 'dedicated' player 'house'/'room' and I was hoping I could use this armor for it as well!

Hope to get a reply soon!

I played Skyrim for years , tested many armor mods ; not this one , i don't know why . finally i decided to try it ... It's a fantastic armor , beautiful and realistic , a "must " for people who like medieval history .
