This mod adds a "Gem and Crystal Forge" which can be used to crush Aberration gems into crystal, upgrade or downgrade gems (Green <-> Blue <-> Red), or dye crystals into gems. Server admins can adjust the crafting requirements and yields of every recipe (or even disable recipes entirely) in the INI settings. This allows server admins to balance the mod however they like.

But why make this mod? Well, the Aberration map is teeming with gem nodes, but crystal is incredibly hard to find. It seems reasonable to give players a way to convert the gems that they mine into crystals, given the similarities in their physical real-world properties.

This mod is clean and stackable, and will work on any map.

• The "Gem and Crystal Forge" is unlocked at level 20 (same as Smithy), and costs 0 engram points.
  
• Lots of fun "gem crushing" sound effects when you craft the recipe. =)
  
• Custom crafting bench model to blend in with the Aberration map's look and feel.
  
• INI settings for crafting speed, inventory size, disable pickup, and pickup time.
  
• Server admins can change the ratio of gems-to-crystals in the INI settings!
  
• By default, all converstions are done on a 3-to-1 ratio based on rarity:
  
  Crystals:
  • 3 Green Gems = 1 Crystal
    
  • 1 Blue Gem = 1 Crystal
    
  • 1 Red Gem = 3 Crystal
  Gems:
  • 5 Crystals + 1 Green Dye = 15 Green Gems
    
  • 5 Crystals + 1 Blue Dye = 5 Blue Gems
    
  • 15 Crystals + 1 Red Dye = 5 Red Gems
  Upgrades:
  • 3 Green Gems = 1 Blue Gem
    
  • 3 Blue Gems = 1 Red Gem
  Downgrades:
  • 1 Red Gem = 3 Blue Gem
    
  • 1 Blue Gem = 3 Green Gem

These are the defaults, feel free to update however you'd like!

You can change "Enabled" to "Disabled" to hide the recipe from all the crafting benches.

If you set the "Dye" amount to zero, the recipe will not require dye.
