Asteroid Gorilla (v2)

The Asteroid Gorilla is the first CV in the Monkey Tools collection. It's designed to be a very effective asteroid miner (driller) that supports a crew compliment of three along with three drill turrets. It's also equipped with an advanced constructor, multiple fuel and O2 tanks, an O2 station, a medic station, and a gravity generator. Two harvest cargo boxes and one standard cargo box are included for storage. The vehicle is fuel and O2 heavy to support extended runs in space. It is also warp capable and, as a CV, can travel anywhere in the sector provided there's fuel. She is nimble and good on thrusters and operates very well in space.

The Asteroid Gorilla is intended to be a top-tier drilling solution for asteroids so it requires some high-end ingots.

This blueprint has been updated to its second generation. There's been major re-works of the vehicle as it was left somewhat neglected after the creation and use of the Silverback. The Asteroid Gorilla now has a hull converted from standard to hardened steel, has had some re-work of thruster configuration to prevent "hot flashes" of the crew while walking around inside, and has had cannons and rocket turrets added for defensive purposes. Per the addition of turrets, the top of the boat has had some armor re-worked. Also, the core has been better secured. Two harvest boxes remain whilst they've been moved to accomodate an added ammo box. Additional down thrusting has been added to help with vehicle lift-off and descent. Excess RCS's were removed. Three new power group have been added for fuel efficiency while flying off-the-job. A fridge and a food processor have been added as well for extended stays in orbital areas.
