Description
Intended to reduce lag and crashing on large maps, this mod adjusts cities to be fewer and further between but more powerful.

Changes without Various Mod Components
- Cities may only be founded at least five tiles away from the nearest city
- The Gold and Culture cost of tiles is reduced by 60%

I looked into the GlobalDefines.xml and I cannot find "MAXIMUM_WORK_PLOT_DISTANCE" in it. It makes me think that part is hardcoded in; speaking as a guy who knows jack squat about coding. There might be ways around it, but I'll keep fiddling around.

A small update: There are two things in the xml.xml file of this mode. There is one: "PLOT_BASE_COST" which I have seen through and that one works on my end. The other thing describes the "MIN_CITY_RANGE" which I haven't tested, but the fact the first component functions tells me this mod does at least to a point function.

The rub is in the cityWorkDistance.sql file which has the 'MAXIMUM_BUY_PLOT_DISTANCE', and 'MAXIMUM_WORK_PLOT_DISTANCE' stuff going on. Though both has the SET Value=5. Even with those, I am struggling to make them work. I'm going to fiddle a little more with the code and see if I can make something cool happen or not.
