//Gameplay//
Lighthouse Point is a two bomb Defuse map. Be warned, quite a few of the surfaces on the map can be shot through and you can fall to your death on the cliffs. To access the map via console, the file name is "de_lighthousepoint".

//Development//
Lighthouse Point is based off of d2_coast_10 from Half-Life 2. Much of the original map was redesigned from the ground up to meet several requirements

1.Update a Coast map to the newest version of Source.
2.Retune a highly unconventional map layout to work with a CS:GO gametype.
3.Make the environment look and feel more realistic.
4.Make the in-game environment match the in-universe drawn map seen at the beginning of the Coast.

These requirements resulted in the addition of more trees and rocks, the addition of more buildings both in the playable limits and outside it, the removal of the mesh based mountains in the skybox and replaced with displacements, and the creation of an inaccessible road above the map that matches said in-universe map.

The church's architecture is based off of one from Hanko, Finland and coloured based off of one from Rønne, Denmark. The lighthouse was recoloured based off of the one at Narva-Jõesuu, Estonia and the base was retextured based off the one from the island of Russaro, Finland. Thiese locations are all along the coast of the Baltic Sea, one of the many regions of Europe that influenced Half-Life 2's design.

Thanks for the kind comment Ram! And I actually would like to see how some of the original Half Life 2 scripts would play out on some remade maps.
