UPDATE 25.09.2021: The appearance of many units has been changed by using new models from Celticus and Nonaic. Now most of the units appear in the game after learning the technology "professional army". I think this is more historically accurate.

UPDATE 09.09.2018: New models of armor and helmets from Celticus Magnus and Nonaic have been used in this update!

Hello everyone!
I am proud to introduce my brand new unit pack: Roman Auxilliary Troops
We all know that in the Roman military there were soldiers of various nationalities and ethnic groups that were recruited from their homeland and had their own specific groups. I tried to make the most of these famous Roman auxiliary troops and included them in the AOR system. Thus allowing each of the units to be recruited only in their home province or region. The names of all cohorts are completely authentic. Such units really existed at different times in the Roman army. I can not confidently state that the appearance of the units was exactly the same as I have created, but they're as accurate as possible.

All units can be recruited in military auxiliary barracks of the 4th level. Most of the units appear in the game after learning the technology "management cohort organization," in addition to the technology "professional army". The unit stats are balanced and adapted to the vanilla units roster and my previous unit packs.

In this mod I also introduced a few historical edits. Now, after studying "management cohort organization" you can replace the velites for antesignani and after studying "professional army" you can make another update and get the antesignani late. In the Emperor Augustus campaign, the process of replacing the velites occurs at the very beginning of the campaign. Also after studying "management cohort organization" Socii Hastati and Socii Extraordinarii will be replaced by the Cohors Ligurum and Cohors Italica Voluntariorum.

Units are for Rome only in the main campaign and the campaign of Emperor Augustus. Unfortunately, in the Emperor Augustus campaign some regions are not included in the AOR system and therefore many units do not appear in some regions of Italy, Spain, Asia and Greece.

So, here is the list of units represented in this mod:

This mod does not change the startpos file and it other mods that use a Non-Vanilla Area of Recruitment system may not be compatible.
A large number of units in custom battle can lead to crash of the game, to avoid this I canceled the automatic selection of the army by AI

I just discovered this mod and I am loving it. Do you ever plan to add more cavalry auxiliary units in the future? That's the only thing I feel that this mod is kind of lacking. If not, then it's still a great mod either way.

Some auxiliary units can be recruited before learning professional army technology. In Italy, Syria, Africa, Thrace, etc.

By the gods Andrew !, is there the chance for some of these auxilia units come before professional army, after all the Roman Republic had conquered Sicily, Carthage, parts of Iberia/Hispania, Gaul/Belgium by Caesar, Greece, Macedon, Illyria, parts of Asia/Anatolia,
Magna Greece to the Po valley, Sardinia etc, etc, long before Rome become " The " Empire.
