Walking Corpses

Description
This is no longer a run n' gun, race-to-the-saferoom game. This is SURVIVAL HORROR.

Basically like AMC's The Walking Dead tv show.

Campaign mode:

There are no survivor bots / AI. Just you and whoever joins your game.

Walkers will take you down in ONE hit so keep your distance. They also start swinging when they get close. Time your attacks accordingly.

Both melee weapon and walker attack ranges are shorter. Berserkers will get real personal with the walkers.

Walkers take less damage to the body so aim for the head when possible.

They are slow and they can't climb most things. Take advantage by climbing on top of high places or behind closed doors.(Does not apply to Survival.)

You can fire a Submachine gun/use throwables/use melee while incapacitated.

Pistols have limited ammo and are primary. You can attach laser sights and use fire/frag ammo.

There are no special infected.

Keep on your toes because this is a complete change from standard gameplay.



Realism:

Same as Campaign except walkers cannot be killed by damage taken to the body. Headshots only even with melee.
There is also no respawning unless a defib is used.


*IMPORTANT TIP:
Due to the sub-par hitboxes in L4D2 headshots are very difficult unless you aim for the middle of the forehead (above the eyes). Jaw shots do not kill.

If you find the sweet spot on the forehead, headshots will be effective and consistent.

How to play:
Enable the mod and start a lobby as campaign, realism, or survival. HOST LOCAL SERVER.

I used Lt. Rocky's Counterstrike weapon unlocker to create a random item spawning system.

No problem. The add-on is still nice. It lifts the atmosphere. If necessary, you don't play the infection center. I haven't had an error like this with the canisters on any of the other maps. Have a nice day.

Oh yeah if people join a modded server when they arent expecting it they leave since they dont have the mods it makes small glitches with reloading and ammunition counts. the crouching to pick stuff up off the ground is on purpose. I cant reach the floor standing up. and youre right about the dead center finale idk why the floor is grabbable you gotta hit the right angle to pick up gascans youre right that is all messed up i dont know how i broke that :theskull:

PS: Basically I only play on local servers. Because normal L4D is too boring for me. No add-on conflicts with this mod. I checked it several times. Or there is a conflict with another add-on that is not displayed.

This add-on does not conflict with any of my other add-ons. On the final map of the infection center, I can't pick up the canisters on the lowest floor. You also usually have to crouch down to pick up items. If other players join the game, they are dead. You have to revive them first. This annoys some people, which is why they leave the game again.

what bugs are you talking about? I play this often and there aren't any unless you have conflicting mods or not on a local server. The only real bug is the sacrifice tank in the train being removed.

Iike it your mod! But I Don't like the slowly movements or walks of common infected ,I want common infected faster and only survivor is walking.Can you tell me which one is only surv?

I don't have any experience with scripting Source games, but do you think utilizing VScript as a way around the issues would be viable? It seems to be all the rage in the scripting community these days...
