Beskrivelse
Stirlander: Victory or Death!

"Stirland is a rugged highland province famous for its rural backwater society and the province's close affiliation with death. The Banner of Stirland shows a skeleton sounding a hunting horn, signifying a call to battle. The skeleton itself is a common symbol of the lands, an expression of both the Stirlander battle cry "Victory or Death" and a grim reminder of the lands of Sylvania that they share borders with." - Anonymous

Stirlander: Victory or Death! is the forth mod in the Imperial Collection a total remastering of the Imperial Faction. This cosmetic mod alters only the appearance of the Stirlander (base) Faction and is designed to be fully compatible with most other Imperial mods.

The Imperial Collection

The Imperial Collection is a fully modular series of cosmetic modifications aimed at remastering the Imperial faction.

While Total War Warhammer dose a fantastic job of bringing the old world to life, it lacks the nuance to realize the rich cultural diversity of the Imperial Faction.

With each iteration of the Imperial Collection comes a complete remastering of each individual Imperial State, with the primary objective being to flesh out their visual appearance and distinctiveness, transforming them in the process from simple recolors to full on Imperial sub-factions.

In a nutshell the Imperial Collection will reflect the following attributes of each Imperial province
1. Cultural Disposition {Heraldry and Iconography}
2. Wealth {equipment quality and availability} - (destitute, sufficient, prosperous, extravagant)
3. Militarization Status {Uniformity} - (peasant levy, town watch, mercenary company, professional soldiers)
4. Unity/Nationalism {Cultural distinctiveness) - (Free City, Lesser Province, Ambitions Rival, Imperial Vanguard)

Relation to Lore v Artistic Licence

The Imperial Collection is what I would like to call lore adjacent. While heavily inspired by primary Games Workshop sources this mod dose take certain artistic liberties in order to better define each faction. The iconography, color pallet, and cultural essence of each state will be preserved but some liberties have been taken with the distribution of equipment and uniformity of each state.

----------------------------------------------------------Bugs-----------------------------------------------------------

If your mod references the unit part warrior_priest_head_01.wsmodel you need to change the entry to warrior_priest_head_01.rigid_model_v2 to be compatible with this mod

Fixed

Blood Feathers: Blood coats surfaces witch have been alpha mapped out resulting in ghostly mustaches and feathers on occasion. At this time I know of no known work around. Disabling gore works.... I guess...

Anti Aliasing Transparency Glitch: AA can create wisps of black outlines where textures where alpha mapped out, this is not usually noticeable and is a minor graphical issue. No known workaround outside of disabling in-game AA

Minor Texture Misalignment: A few textures require additional refinement due to complex model geometry, this will be fixed eventually.

This works fine in the campaign (world and battle) but would crash the game if I click on Custom Battle.

Lovely mod but half of the troops in the heavy sword unit are missing faces. I don't want to disable AA :(

How exactly does this work? Do i recruit units from the area, or do they add new units to recruit?

Note: fullface helm texture on halberdiers and greatsword seems to be bugged (I am using DX11, and I know there won't be any updates in a while, that was just a heads up)

These are some of the mods I have enjoyed the most. The nuance and character they bring to the Imperial troops are immersive and astounding. Great sense of "lore adjacency". Bonus points for every time my Reiklanders shout "We should be united!" when fighting ragtag Stirlanders.
