Description
Custom map from Texas to Maine! 30 Union cities, 50 Confederate(Roman)! Domination victory only! Especially made for Confederate on deity, see how long you can hold out! Good luck!

v15 introduces mortars and horse artillery!

Horse arty has +1 movement, weaker combat strength, but greater ranged strength, more expensive. Mortars improve everything but are much more expensive. All pre artillery sieges now have max 2 range.

**************** Essential Mods **********- Remember to add Eras: Industrial and New City Penalties Halved mods !!
Both available in collection. Enjoy!

#Interesting Alternatives now includes a 3 units per tile mod, which immensely changes tactics. I highly recommend it!

Recommended difficulties - Union - Emperor through Deity
Confederate - King through Immortal (Deity is survival challenge)

Back Story - The North and South are at war. With capitals very close together will the war focus on the well defended Virginia-Maryland border, or is another route more effective?

P.S. Save some Union culture for Freedom or other Industrial policies, as the North starts game with 3 factories. Confederacy can use "Reform" policy mod, fill science tree, then get factory tech, buy 3 factories on first turn and also get Freedom, Order, or Autocracy turn 2.

wouldn't maybe Germany or Japan to a leser extant make more sense for confederacy? Germany has a gray border (though al civs colour can be changed in map editor as you obviously did here) and have cheaper unit mainenance which make allot of sense in my opinion for confederacy (they had cheaper troops and typically charged hordes of them in battles) not to mention bismarck has a moving animation that can just be renamed to confederacy and to the corresponding leader (forgot his name). Japan would make some sense for confederacy cause they lost allot of men and here they fight as if they had fill stength (referecning their charges at bad losses). Rome is a more ancient civ and so I don't think their bonus makes sense for confederacy, unless you changed their bonuses?

Should this show up under maps or do I need a scenerio mod also. I have a scenerio mod for civil war that works fine but I can not locate this under maps. This may be the map the scenerio is using. I just do not know. I am sure the map is installed as are the other mods but I have looked and looked and just do not locate it. Any thoughts please? Thank You!!!

Added a 'no wonders' mod to the large collection to remove most or all vanilla and dlc wonders, can add more with other mods still!

Those are the other two mods you also NEED to have checked to have good gameplay, but it still loads without them. Watch the video to see how to start the mod.

I don't know what essential files this mod needs. I got the Industrial Eras mod and New City penalties, but I still can't play this Civil War mod. What other data files do I need?
