Description
House Bolton of the Dreadfort - led by Roose Bolton

From the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, and Game of Thrones show, Lord Roose Bolton leads House Bolton of the Dreadfort with science and defence.

Cunning Strategist - Unique Ability
All strategic resources give +1 Science and receive a free Great Engineer when you discover Engineering. The Capital starts with free Walls.

Ironwood Trebuchet - Unique Unit
The Ironwood Trebuchet replaces the Trebuchet. The Ironwood Trebuchet has increased defence against attacks and it does not require setting up before attacking, but this comes at the cost of having no bonus against cities.

Food Storeroom - Unique Building
The Food Storeroom replaces the Granary. The Food Storeroom gives a small amount of Science and also increases the City Defences.

Roose's ability Cunning Strategist is a strong ability that lets Roose to play very defensively whilst accumulating Science passively.

The supportive unique unit Ironwood Trebuchet replaces the Trebuchet and can fire without setting up, making it a very mobile ranged unit. Its major drawback is that it cannot be used as a strong siege unit, it is rather a unit that should be used along your back lines to quickly fire on enemies, or to defend your cities. It can still and is effective at functioning as a siege unit, but its extra defence and ranged strength allow it to take on more flexible roles.

The city-growing unique building, the Food Storeroom replaces the Granary. Unlocked early in the game, it allows Roose to gain a massive long-term advantage over his opponents by having a great Science boost early on, allowing Roose to seize many early Technologies without much hassle. It also improves the City Defence slightly, meaning Roose can play defensively more effectively.

Roose is a strong and very defensive leader, his setup allows him to play very defensively with high City Defence, and a solid unit (the Ironwood Trebuchet) to rain fire upon invaders. He is also very well focused for a Science Victory, as he gains Science for Strategic Resources, and his UB gives a small but powerful boost. Domination Victory as always is a viable option, as his Ironwood Trebuchet is a flexible and strong UU that can do many functions, not only there to serve as a siege unit. Whatever victory you want to achieve, the early Great Engineer should allow you to grab a Wonder that will help you on your way, or give you some early Production - the choice is yours.

The mod features a fully-fledged civilization including: custom unit icons, custom border colours, properly tested AI, varied Roose-like diplomacy responses, custom music (from Season 6 of Game of Thrones), and much more. Enjoy the mod!

Roose's kit has been updated quite heavily, check the Change Notes/Workshop info for details. I've also added the manual download link for Mac users, enjoy!

Usually, I try to give some advice on how to improve balance when making Civs, so that the mod is actually fun to play, rather than being stupid levels of broken. I have advice for this one, too: scrap the entire fucking thing and start from scratch.

Clearly game balance wasn't taken into consideration.
