Description
Lead the Kingdom of Askr as either Gustav, Alfonse, or Sharena! Use the power of Breidablik to summon legendary heroes through the use of orbs just like in Fire Emblem Heroes!


UA - Glitnir
Every newfound Askran city begins with 5 Orbs. Capturing an enemy city yields an additional +10 Orbs. Legendary Hero combat bonus is doubled.

UU - Legendary Hero
Replaces the Great General. Cannot be earned normally through combat, and must be produced at the cost of 5 Orbs. Gains a random movement type and rarity on entering combat for the first time.

UU - King's Knight
Stronger than the Longswordsman, which it replaces. Does not require iron to produce, but does not benefit from nearby Great Generals.


UA - Breidablik
Every newfound Askran city begins with 5 Orbs. Orbs may also be purchased for a large sum of Gold.

UU - Legendary Hero
Replaces the Great General. Cannot be earned normally through combat, and must be produced at the cost of 5 Orbs. Gains a random movement type and rarity on entering combat for the first time.

UB - Order of Heroes
Replaces the Barracks. +25 experience for all untis built in this city. +25% Great People generation. Requires 2 Gold to maintain.

The Legendary hero's promotions are as follows (not exact promotions) :

Red heroes gain promotions from the Shock tree of promotions. Blue units gain a bonus vs. Mounted and Fortified units. Green units gain promotions from the Drill tree of promotions. Colorless can either gain medic, a debuff, or additional attacks per turn depending on if they are a staff, knife, or bow user. Heroes also roll a movement type. Infantry move the usual 2 spaces per turn and gain a small combat bonus. Horse units can move 3 tiles. Armored units gain a signifigant combat bonus but can only move 1 space per turn. Flying units can move over all terrain, including water.

Sometimes Civ V doesn't auto download/extract mods. Its unlucky. Navigate to documents\mygames\civ5\MODS . In there should be a Kingdom of Askr.civ5mod file (or something along those lines). Extract its contents to a folder within the mods folder. If this doesn't work, use http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/ to download it manually and then extract its contents to a folder in the MODS folder.

Having a strange issue where workers aren't able to build improvements. Is this a bug or is it intentional?

Hi, I encountered a minor issue, but I apologize for not getting a screenshot (because my stupid laptop is useless) but I'll try my best to describe the scenarios.
The first time this happened was a difficulty 3 game, with 8 Civs 16 city states, but i reduced the number of city states to 0, my first city spawned the orb resource, however the 2 cities i created after that did not spawn any orb in a 3 tile range from the city. The second game was a test game, same thing as the first game, 8 Civ but 0 city states, but i set it to difficulty 1, and my first 2 cities did not spawn the orb resource too. Did not check whether it was caused by tiles like wonders, mountains or oceans yet.

Both maps were chosen as Pangaea, my own civ was pre chosen as the mod, with quick combat and movement, everything else was random.

My first Legendary Hero didn't recieve a color or movement type upon entering combat. It simply gained exp, and was provided the normal shock/drill promo options upon leveling.

I found a crash bug and another minor issue with the mod. Sometimes when you create a city, the game places the orb resource on top of an oasis and you can never work it, which is awkward. Also, if you build a city with *no* valid resource locations (surrounded by 5 tiles of water in every direction, for example) the game straight-up crashes. I'm 90% sure this is because the game gets stuck in an infinite loop when this happens. I've made a new OrbPlacement.lua file with the fixes if you want to contact me and look at it / test it yourself.

So i tried several things in regard to compatibility with voxpopuli.
Deleted all files and references to orbs, crashed after one whole turn.
Did the same with the hero, crashed after pressing end turn on the 3rd turn.
I then removed the great general modifier and the order of heroes, basically making it a vanilla civ, crashed at the first end turn.
Conclusion: i have no idea what is going on and what to do to fix it.
