My 5 track assets should be used with Move It mod. I plop the whole asset, then select the portion I want and copy or move it to the location I need it. I did not use any other mods making them, so you can modify structures on the fly without problems if you don't use any other mods beside Move It.

You may ask, Why 5 tracks? I was trying to tame train traffic. I use them as follows: 1- thru trains from region to another region link 2- freight tracks with regional access for import/export 3- passenger tracks with regional access for arriving new residents and tourists 4- freight tracks only for local freight 5- passenger tracks for commuters. You need to be careful to never cross the tracks except at the regional access points and keep the local tracks completely disconnected from the regional tracks.

I run them around the perimeter of my entire city and put train stations near industry and commercial areas to limit truck traffic. I usually put a one way street loop with a local station on one side and a regional station on the opposite side, and if you directly connect this unit to on/off ramps to your highways it allows easy high volume access.

These 2 assets allow me to put one to each side of the area I want to use for cargo and/or passenger stations, then I connect the bypass for each track straight across under the stations, and after I place the stations I connect the stations to each track as needed (local or regional access). This way there are direct routes past the stopped trains.

I've had good luck so far keeping trains moving, but as always it can bog down at the region access points. A bonus of the Traffic Manager President Edition mod, you can clear all traffic globally if you want to try to change your infrastructure and clogs won't go away enough to get things moving again. Then you can see where new bottlenecks pop up.
