WOTC Use My Class

Description
NOTE:

This is a straight recompile of the original "Use My Class" mod. I received no compile errors, so at this time no changes have been made.

Several users reported issues with the original mod in WOTC, which I cannot duplicate. I may or may not keep this version published depending on user reports.


DESCRIPTION:

This mod forces the game to use your specified class in the character pool, when it
promotes rookies from the After Action screen. It also changes logic to
honor the character pool class when giving a soldier as a mission reward.

Details:

The mod matches any character by first and last name in your character pool,
and uses your selected class.

If you have the soldier defined as a Rookie, the game will assign a class randomly,
just as it currently does.

If you have the soldier defined as a Psi Operative, it will assign a PsiOperative,
however, that soldier will not be trainable until the requisite facility is built.

Update 6/14/2016:
Replaced class override for X2StrategyElement_DefaultRewards, to hopefully help reduce conflicts.


Update 6/25/2016:
Opened up logic to allow soldiers to be promoted to Psi Operatives.

Considerations:
1. The soldier will have no powers at his disposal until the Psi Ops facility is build
and he begins training.
2. Soldiers given as mission rewards will also have no powers until they begin training,
regardless of starting rank.
3. These soldiers will need to be started out in the Psi Ops facility just like rookies to begin
their powers training. Until this starts, they only have the rifle and are of limited use on
missions. They will be listed in the drop down along with any rookies you have available.

Oh, I understand. I guess as long as the original Character Pool class isn't completely disabled in your current campaign it'd work.

Yes, i was wondering if this would still be able to force a chosen class, as they are still active in RPGO, but you obviously cant pick them.
anyway, i tried it yesterday and i think the answer is no. Which is to be expected. But a modder can dream.

All RPGO soldiers are the same class though.

Man I'm sorry I can't get this to work to save my life. My guys are everything but what I want them too be (or need in many cases, so frustrating)

The mod I listed allows you to fabricate HK-47, HK-51 and HK-55, they are built as a Squaddie. They are pulled from your character pool but it does not honor your selected class. I was hoping that this mod would lock the class but it does not.

Yeah the problem is probably on my side, I don't know what happened, but if anyone else has trouble getting this mod to work I recommend trying the mod "Commander's Choice", more or less does the same thing
