(Obsolete) Shantae

Description
This is workshop clutter and people complain whether I take it down or leave it up.

After much development and listening to people's feedback and suggestions, here is the finalized, public, enhanced version of my personal Shantae character model. Based on the game series of the same name, developed by WayForward. The design is most heavily derived from "Pirate's Curse", though I tried to incorporate elements from the other games in the series. Hopefully this meets most of people's expectations, but please feel free to provide me with additional constructive feedback.

This workshop item contains 4 different versions of the Enhanced Shantae character model. This was done to work around the limits of the Source engine, specifically with TF2's model compiler. Adding together all bodygroups results in a character model with 58,578 total triangles. This is too many for TF2's compiler (maximum of 50,000 triangles allowed), but presents no problem for SFM's compiler. As a result, the first listed Enhanced Shantae character model (the one without a number) functions as an "all-in-one" master model that contains all possible bodygroups, with the sacrifice of one skin and only being compatible with SFM. The numbered Shantae character models have limited bodygroups, but each has their own physics model and can be used within GMod. The different collision models are based around Shantae's different hairstyles (ponytail vs. braided vs. loose). shantae_enhacnced1.mdl is based upon Shantae's default genie and pirate outfits; it most resembles the previous release. shantae_enhacnced2.mdl is based upon Shantae's dance/magic/princess costumes, both the ones from S:RR and S&tPC. shantae_enhacnced3.mdl includes the pajama and beach outfits.

Modeled entirely by me in Blender. I did not create the normal map for the hair. This was copied from the files for a model originally modeled by user http://creatorofpony.deviantart.com/ and then tiled to 2048 × 2048. All other textures were created by me using GIMP.

Features:
Multiple bodygroups for alternate outfits/costumes
Multiple skins, include ♥♥♥♥-Shantae skin and neon Nintendo Switch themed skin
Various props
Rigged eyes and facial flexes (mono and stereo)
Jiggle/procedural bones!
TF2 style skeleton and bone naming convention, allowing the character models to work with rig_biped_simple and Doc\Revzin's puppet script
Embedded custom ragdoll animation sequences (57 total)
A paintable "white" skin

Known bugs:
Not a bug with the model per se but with SFM. The jiggle/procedural bones will not bake properly when the model is spawned in a current session. Instead of baking the dynamic animations, the process will bake the jiggle bones' default positions. For the baking to properly work, you must save the session after spawning the model, close the current SFM session, and then reopen it. Baking the procedural animations will then work properly now that the model is saved within the SFM session.

Special Thanks:
Pte Jack whose series of YouTube tutorial videos taught me pretty much everything I now know regarding how models behave and are exported in the Source Engine. I cannot thank him enough.

The Valve Developer Wiki.

WayForward for making a great game.

Py-Bun, whose QC file for her Papyrus model helped me figure out how stereo flexes are exported and complied.

Mr. Prawn, who reached out to me and helped me figure out how to properly implement an eye rig in Source.

BeardedDoomGuy for some modeling tips and reminding me of that backer costume from the ½ Genie Hero Kickstarter campaign.

LegoGuy9875, for leaving some constructive feedback on DA, all of which was later implemented to improve this model. Also for beta-testing version 2.0.

mrbenio for pointing out Shantae's lack of a collar in Risky's Revenge and leaving positive and friendly feedback.

Doc/Revzin, whose puppet script (http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=216464518) saved me so much time when it came to redoing the custom embedded animations.

What made Shantae looked Similar to Megaman is Her Pike Ball Powers are similar to Megaman's type of barriers: Leaf Shield, Skull Shield, Jewel Barrier, Plant Barrier, etc. Also, Her Half Genie Hero stance looked almost like an enhanced pose for Cutman. Keep in mind that I am comparing these 2 characters between Shantae and Megaman to show that they looked similar.
