Description
Map Tacks 3.1.0
The Map Tacks mod is now included in Civilization VI!

This optional add-on makes a few small changes to the official interface:
  • improve the editor layout for Gathering Storm districts
  • fix some in-game text that still refers to map pins instead of tacks
  • update barbarian icon to work with new red color and original design

Compatibility
The Map Tacks mod does not affect saved games, so you can add it to a game in progress or disable it without breaking your game. It overrides any map pin features in other UI mods. Map Tacks is compatible with Unique District Icons, and uses the unique icons for districts.

sorry, i don't know what that means. i haven't played civ6 for several years. Map Tacks doesn't interact with merchants or trade routes at all, though, so i doubt it has anything to do with what you're seeing.

had this one on along with a bunch of other mods, and it made trade routes last 20+ turns on online speed for close range cities!

@Trevor it's on the Steam Workshop. I don't remember the author's name, but it's probably highly ranked on the UI mods list.

@Prawie I recommend checking out the Detailed Map Tacks mod for new features. Most of this mod is built into the base game now, so I only keep it around for some minor cosmetic tweaks. For new features, I use Detailed Map Tacks. It's really excellent.

Is there a possiblity for the icons to add automatically on proper districts?

@nurphy88 That's a different mod called "Detailed Map Tacks." Now that my mod is incorporated into the game, I've just been maintaining a few small adjustments for my own personal tastes.
