A fixed up version of the now abandoned Enhanced Cockpit Concept mod by HappySushi.

Since this will likely be asked, this mod does use the same subtypeIDs as the original and it is safe to switch over to this one.


What's new?
Added a third variant of the top centre LCD to allow for more combinations
Added 'split' versions of each of the top centre LCD variants which act similarly to the 2in1 sides variants, handy for text readouts from scripts. See the screenshots.
All blocks from the mod are now available on scroll wheel if you add the main cockpit to your hotbar

I've had to replace the cockpit models as one of his original files was missing. It's not a big change as he'd built his original versions from the old vanilla cockpit and I've just used the new vanilla cockpit. It's one of the blocks which didn't change much in the big block update. The down side is, you can't colour the inside and outside independently any more otherwise there is noticeable clipping as the new vanilla interior/exterior models don't match perfectly. I'm looking into it.

Experimental Large Grid Versions
Models aren't final, I just wanted to get them in to see what people thought and if it's something worth pursuing further. Feedback is welcomed.

To note, targeting in survival was a pain so I've added an invisible model which sits on the edge of the block you place the LCD into. For example, the left versions you can look at the bottom right of the placement block (closest side to the seat) to grind/weld rather than looking at the construction model or LCD itself.

Blocks and functions:
ECC_Cockpit_Base - The cockpit itself.

ECC_Interior_Trunk - Extra storage, equivalent to 3 small cargo containers, allows use of forward conveyor port
ECC_Interior_Sound - Provides a sound block at the cost of not being able to use the forward conveyor port
ECC_Interior_Oxygen - Small oxygen generator, with severely scaled down inventory and productivity for balance, less efficient than normal generator, allows use of front conveyor port

ECC_Light - Adds a light to your cockpit interior
ECC_LCD_Top_Mid - Replacement of light with LCD, usable in combo with ECC_LCD_Top_2in1
ECC_LCD_Top_Mid_Split - Alternate version of ECC_LCD_Top_Mid which has it's screen split in half

ECC_LCD_Central - Front central LCD panel
ECC_LCD_Sides_2in1 - Front left and right LCDs combined to use as one panel
ECC_LCD_Left_Side - Separate LCD for the front left only, will overlap with 2in1 sides LCD
ECC_LCD_Right_Side - Separate LCD for the front right only, use it in combo with left one, will overlap with 2in1 sides LCD

ECC_LCD_Top_2in1 - An overhead LCD with two sides acting as one panel
ECC_LCD_Top_Central - An alternative to ECC_LCD_Top_Mid
ECC_LCD_Top_Central_Split - A variant of ECC_LCD_Top_Central which has it's screen split in half
ECC_LCD_Top_Central_2 - Another alternative to ECC_LCD_Top_Mid
ECC_LCD_Top_Central_2_Split - A variant of ECC_LCD_Top_Central_2 which has it's screen split in half

@Twiz The LCD's are pointless? Since when... I have not played in the last 2 years but decided to check my mods for a play I am putting together now. I used to use 3 LCD's in the cockpit... and another outside... visible to the cockpit... is there something better? I know the new cockpit has LCD but better?

This really should be updated it has some cool parts to it but the LCD panels are pointless and the top one that says it's split in two actually isn't two panels like I was expecting so @0 @1 AutoLCD commands don't work on it. Getting rid of all the panels that simply replace already functional panels would allow the hitboxes to not be so funky when you're trying to place something too.

Just a heads up, it seems you can use the vanilla cockpit LCDs with scripts such as Automatic LCDs 2 and such - in his guide he's updated it with the required verbage to enter in the Custom Data section - iirc it's like '@0 AutoLCD' '@1 AutoLCD' for each LCD in the cockpit, with '0' being the first one listed in the sbc

@Kunu Yeah, I mean it's really high time they gave those LCDs some actual function. A part of me would be glad to no longer need the mod haha. But until then I'll keep it going. :D

Nice ty. was more addressing the fact that the vanilla cockpits are trying to be this mod and im sure eventually will. but glad to see this still has some life left :D

I've just pushed a minor update to fix some things from today's update

Minor update:
Fixed missing texture on some placement blocks since Keen removed the texture from the game
Adjusted the new vanilla cockpit LCDs to use the new CockpitScreen textures rather than the standard LCD ScreenArea textures so they have the same contrast and tones as the vanilla cockpit
Increased PCU values for the cockpit and all LCD variants to match the new increased values in vanilla

Glad I did that major update last week now so I didn't have to rush it in today.

@Kunu Whilst I appreciate it, there's still life for this mod yet. The new LCDs in vanilla currently only support the native scripts and don't appear to be usable with standalone PB scripts.
The update I pushed out a few days ago in preparation for this new feature seems to be working ok and you can currently use a combination of mod LCDs and the cockpit's new native LCDs as you see fit.
