Description
Colour Chess and Lure are two separate games that can be played on the same board, each one with different pieces and win conditions. They are different games, but you can also combine them.

On each turn you make two moves - the first one of your moves must be to the same colour that your opponent last moved to. This gives you a level of direct influence over what they do, and creates some sneaky new tactics and manoeuvres.

If you can already play chess, it will take you 5 minutes to learn the new color-based movement and turn structure of Colour Chess. It might take a game or two to get used to it though, particularly the double threat situations.

If you want something a bit lighter, Lure can be setup to suit any complexity level from young kids through to strategist.

These two games are 'perfect information' games - there is zero luck involved, and Colour Chess still 'feels' like playing chess.

How to play

You can find the manual of how to play Colour Chess, and Lure, in the following Board Game Geek page:

https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/151570/colour-chess-lure-manual

You will need to create an free account to be able to download the file.

Setting up the board on TTS

When you first open this mod you will see that the 'universal grid' is activated - this is to help you set up a custom board. You can hide the grid by going into Options > Grid > And unchecking 'Show Lines'.

You will also find two default boards - one for Standard Lure on the left, and one for Standard Colour Chess on the right.

If you want to play any of these two games right away, without setting up a custom board, just select and lock the tiles that make up the board that you want to use, and then place the provided Chess or Lure tokens on it. To lock the tiles: Drag and Select them > Right Click > Toggle > Lock.

Also, for playing Colour Chess, you can use the 3D chess pieces provided instead of the chess tokens, if you want.

Now, if you do want to set up a custom board, first delete any of the default boards to make room for your custom board. Then, you will find one tile of each color in the middle of the table, which you can copy-paste as much as you need to create the board you want.

You can use the grid as a guide of where to place each tile, and you can hide the grid once you are done building your board. Remember that if you want your opponent to help you set up the board, he/she needs to be promoted to be able to copy-paste objects.

On the table, you'll also see black rectangles with six colored dots. Those are used for tracking the movement order when playing Sequence Colour Chess.

Finally, it's also possible to play 4 Player Colour Chess by setting up an 8x8 board with "8x2 wings" on each side, and copy-pasting the pieces you need. You'll find more information about this game mode in the manual.
