Report a translation problem
I have a few of those planted in a gaden biome and they drop snow. I don't recall any mod I have installed doing that, so it must be vanilla.

I was actually considering something like that for myself. I agree, the rate of snowball drops is downright annoying. Give me a bit to look in to it. It will, of course, be a separate mod.
It's likely the latter, more than anything for sorting purposes. One makes glass at the furnace, so why not glass blocks? One makes various metal ingots at the furnace, so why not the metal blocks as well? Hunting consumables at the foraging station instead of the anvil? It all comes down to identifiable(sp) themed and tabbed sorting.
Sorry, but no. As stated in a previous (misspelled) comment, I'm not gooing to alter any vanilla recipes with this mod.
