Some games are those that, the moment you open them, you immediately imagine endless futures as they cycle through seasons; it's the feeling of freedom and wildness that fills your heart as you speed through the sunset or weave through misty raindrops; it's witnessing a never-ending carnival that grandly unfolds in rainforests, deserts, mountains, fields, and cities. Just like the opening line of "Forza Horizon 4" says: "This is not your dream in life, this is your life in color."

It's more accurate to say that it is an immersive cinematic experience rather than a deeply engaging game. There is almost no gameplay, which allows for complete immersion in the storyline. Initially, the three storylines in the game may seem disconnected, making it difficult to connect them at first glance. However, as more elements are revealed, the game's themes gradually come to light. The severity of the Cold War world, the suspicion between nations, the public opposition to nuclear arms races between countries, and the portrayal of gender equality movements as collaborations with the Soviet Union by the state and schools, all these themes are intertwined with personal choices about one's future and career, as well as maintaining family relationships. The beautiful life of the protagonists cannot end well in the turbulent era, and the final scene concludes with a conversation between Clara and the male lead. This segment indeed leaves one puzzled or even resentful, as symbols representing choices made in the game disappear one by one, making their journey seem like a fleeting illusion. I do not believe that anyone is at fault; in that sensitive era, their story might not have been unique. The game's early stages continuously shape the image of the Soviet Union through the perspectives of British broadcasts, professors, and Freud, but when the protagonist, Freud, shares cigarettes and alcohol with a Soviet engineer in despair, sitting in a cabin, exchanging secrets and jokes about their respective countries' secrets, I think peace and friendship should be the hope of all ordinary people. The only pity is that the game's controls and graphics sometimes have bugs, which made me worry about what was going to happen next.

The game's designer has used perspective as the core to create a very innovative mystery-solving experience, emphasizing the philosophical idea that people should view things from different perspectives. The game is exceptionally outstanding in terms of scene transitions and atmosphere creation, providing a novel visual experience. However, the intense visual experience can cause significant 3D motion sickness while playing the game.

The game uses visual perception to solve puzzles, such as determining the size of objects by perspective, grabbing an object to see its size, and releasing it to maintain that size; finding the right position to observe and move objects in a 3D manner; and using the light from a lamp to find the correct path after amplifying it. The game's puzzle-solving mechanics are based on visual elements, which are quite innovative in design. However, the guidance provided is not very good, as many puzzles lack a gradual progression and instead require players to jump directly to the solution. This enhances the dreamlike atmosphere of the game but can lead to frequent frustration during gameplay.

The game excels in creating atmospheric scenes, especially in crafting a terrifying atmosphere. Chapter 4, "Darkness," successfully utilizes the regulation of light and shadow, the use of bloodstains, eerie sounds, and the clever placement of items to create an extremely terrifying atmosphere. This atmosphere is so intense that it once scared me so much that I dared not continue exploring further. The game's control over scene atmosphere can be considered masterful.


Based on the dialogue and gameplay within the game, it is very clear to understand the producer's own ideas they want to convey. These ideas include encouraging people to look at things from different perspectives and not to fear failure. The game expresses the producer's thoughts very fully. However, it also falls into a common pitfall of this genre of games, where there is an excessive focus on expressing one's own thoughts without delving deeply into the gameplay itself. This has prevented the game from advancing further.
