I spent a week on this game. To say that has consumed my life is understatement and I love it too much too let it go, but I've completed the game and now I am sad. Platforming is really good, but is trickier in the later b and c sides. Celeste uses only three moves: Jumping, Dashing, and Climbing. However, just these three have a surprising amount of depth to them and the level design is incredible. The game really shines in it's story. With a very simple premise - A girl climbs a mountain - Celeste presents a compelling story about struggling with mental health problems like anxiety and depression.

It's sound kind of silly, but this game has really brought me out of a wrought I've been in for quite some time now. Knowing that I've completed all the C sides and Farewell when I thought previously that those things were impossible, I have this newfound sense of motivation and resistance to some of my other life problems. "If I can beat Farewell then I can finish this college course" or "Well, Core's C side in Celeste is probably far harder than finding a job" are some of the phrases I tell myself when I'm feeling overwhelmed with these tasks.

This game is great for everyone, but I highly recommend it for anyone struggling with mental illnesses. Even if you don't go for the harder levels the satisfaction of completing the main story is still fantastic and easily the best part of the game, so you're not missing much.
