This one was a lot better than the previous ones. Hope 8 keeps the same level of quality or better.

Okay, this review is a little bit of a mess. Originally i didn't like the game because it was performing terribly and they hadn't updated the game for a while. But since then they've gotten a lot faster at making updates, with v0.3.0 to v0.4.0 being 3-4 months apart, and v0.4.0 to 0.5.0 being about 3 months and 20 something days apart from each other. And v0.6.0 is expected to be released this fall. I guess that explains why most of the recent updates haven't added new areas or slimes. Since they've been working on this big update for a while.

(VERY OLD AND OUTDATED SECTION OF REVIEW BELOW)

The developers are taking too long to make updates. I only bought the game to see if any major changes were made since it released and had watched videos about it. But almost nothing has changed, in over a year. One new area, and a weather system is all that's new? No. You've gotta be kidding me. I'm sorry, but I can't recommend this, especially if they are gonna take 9 months after they made the new area(February 16th, 2023) to release a weather system (November 14th, 2023). I am wasting time even making this review. I want to refund it now. Also my computer doesn't run well on this, and the first game runs at over 100fps. The minimum requirements aren't accurate. My system has a GTX 1050 mobile(30% slower on average than GTX 960, the minimum listed GPU). I assume they are targeting 1080p resolution, lowest settings, at 30fps with the minimum requirements. Since my GPU is 30% slower than the GTX 960, the minimum required GPU according to the store page, I would expect 30-40% slower performance in this game, with 1080p lowest settings, estimated fps is about 20. Sometimes the game jumps up to 20 fps, but is usually under 15 fps most of the time. FYI, that is in 800x600 resolution, not 1920x1080(1080p). 800x600(or rather 600p) is way lower than 1080p and looks terrible. Even if they target 720p at 30fps instead of 1080p at 30fps, then still, that still would make it about 20 or less fps with a GTX 960, not 30fps. If they are targeting it at less than 30fps, then these devs are a joke. 30fps to me looks choppy and slow enough. I have to force my computer to a custom resolution(480X360!) which would force the game to run at that resolution, and then i can get 40fps, tops. But that is a resolution the game doesn't normally allow. I shouldn't have to force my computer to run at such a low resolution just to play this game. I've done a few things to try and fix this, but everything I've tried so far doesn't work. I'm not forcing my computer to an old junk tv resolution just to play this game. When purchasing I was fully aware my system was a bit under the minimum requirements. But i was expecting 20fps, at either 1080p or 720p, which I have not gotten. It's almost as if they have put something in the game that makes it run terribly if your computer is under the minimum requirements.

One last thing I must mention is how they want us to give them the "Labor of Love" steam award, and they were only even able to do it because the game was over a year old. But steam does give info about steam awards, and this particular award's description is: "This game has been out for a while. The team is well past the debut of their creative baby, but being the good parents they are, these devs continue to nurture and support their creation. This game, to this day, is still getting new content after all these years." At the end, it specifically states "after all these years", meaning a good 3 or more years but any game that is over a year old is eligible to be nominated. I can't believe these devs tried to convince is to nominate their game, when it is still in early access, and barely any content has been added from release to now. Based off of this, I just can't recommend this game. I will be refunding this, and I'll specifically mention in the note of my refund about how these performance issues don't make sense. Feel free to get as mad as you want, fans. I've allowed comments. But I am not changing my opinion. It'll be 2025 before this game can come out of early access.

BOOOOOM BOOOM VROOM! This game has racing, weapons, and funny explosions in it. 10/10 would highly recommend.

I like the game. story is not very good though

It's a pretty good game. Only thing I dislike is the bad AI where they always use 1 lane on the highway(or freeway as us Californians call them), and the $400 of DLCs. The game is enjoyable without the DLCs, but you'll probably wanna buy one pretty quickly. And you'll for sure want some mods and assets if you want a proper experience, as vanilla is not very good for this kind of game. I have nearly 2600 assets already and have only had the game for a few days, as well as over 40 mods. It's possible to get to 1 million population, but you'll have a lot of trouble running that big of a city. Overall, I'm still pretty happy with the game. I got it during the sale, and so far, I've made a pretty nice looking city. If you're reading this before May 25th, 2023, you can get this game on sale. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Realistic trucking game. Wish they would fix nevada, they've already fixed parts of california to make it more accurate. I bought this game because I wanted to drive around america, and driving in a truck made me interested. I tried the demo version, and I enjoyed the game, so I bought the full game, and a few DLC as well, since it was on sale when I bought it. The graphics aren't the best, but they are okay, and you get a ton of performance in return, so you get a playable experience even with a basic gpu such as the GTX 1050 mobile. It finally got an update that added bumps in the road as well, which is pretty nice. Also, a lot of the negative reviews for the game are about the game "crashing" as soon as they launch it. I have never experienced a crash in this game, except for a few times when I accidentaly forgot to remove a mod when a new version comes around.
EDIT(v1.49): We FINALLY have the MOON in the game? YAY!

Edit Log: Replaced section mentioning $300 PC with a laptop using GTX 1050 mobile, mentioned the update for the moon, added "version" after 'I tried the demo".
