This game is super beautiful- the environments are stunning but I find it hard to recommend on the basis of the game play. The build aspect motivates progress, but anytime you build something you're unable to move it. This presents an issue as you're constantly expanding your space to accommodate the intricate crafting mechanisms. For whatever reason, when you break down an item to rebuild it elsewhere, you don't always get all the materials back and some of the materials require multiple levels of crafting to reach the final item. So for instance, if you want to move a work table, you'll need to break it down and re-craft the necessary materials, just to move it to another location? Why?

The realms are pretty to look at but it's a little bare bones in terms of exploration and npcs. You can't really interact with most npc's in the world other than to hire them and the people that do talk to you give you so much convoluted lore that it's difficult to follow. After nearly 50 hours of game play I still don't understand what the hope echoes are. And on that topic, when you release the hope echoes it gives you a full page of lore with no protection from whatever's happening in the environment, so many times you have to close the hope echo without reading it all to fight/ survive.

Bottom line Nightingale has a lot of potential, but I don't think it's been fully realized. There are still many bugs like, when planting seeds, only some of them grow, others never do. Some aspects are amazing like the realm inside a realm puzzles, and some are terrible like hired npc's terrorizing your builds. I cautiously recommend it as I enjoy playing co-op more than alone lol.

This game was not fun to play at all but after baldurs gate and elden ring my expectations for new games are sky high. Wish I never bought it
