It's a simple and fun game to play, hanging out with random people and make new friends, absolutely amazing. But it's no more as great as back then. You might be asking why?, here's the reason :

Back then, we can met alot of people from different country in the well-known public world such as Japan Shrine, Poppy Street, etc. But nowadays, the game's major population are these people from this specific country, i'm not saying that they're bad, well some of them are, but it's no more interesting because all you can find is "them" hanging out with their own language. it's ruining the game imo, you're playing the game to meet alot of people from all over the world, sharing stories and getting whole new experience but when you run into the game, all you can find are these people.

P.S : i'm not going to mention the country, but well, i think everyone already know the answer.
